MAC Eye Shadow Reviews

I know it sounds crazy to go out and spend $14.00 on eye shadow. But if you build your collection slowly, it's not that big of a financial deal...so long as you limit yourself to one per visit. Hah!

So I went overboard this week. Shoot me.

My Latest Find:

MAC Eyeshadow in the color Nocturnelle

The Color:

You can't go by the color chart that you see on the MAC website, because they have their shadings way off.

Noctornelle is described on the website as a 'pinked up chrome purple' (with a frost finish)

What you get in the actual store/mail though is a more marooned rose color with flecks of reddish brown...

I discovered MAC about 8 years ago and of all of their products, I love their eyeshadows the most. The selection is outstanding and they always have a new color promotion. The shadows are highly pigmented and Mac offers many textures to choose from<i>(frosts, mattes, velvets, pearl, satin, lustre) </i>It is hard for me to walk out of the MAC store without purchasing a new color.

I've tried many other brands, but found the quality just doesn't compare to Mac.

I started wearing makeup about 5 years ago when I was 13. Following my mom's footsteps, I started using Mac eyeshadows. I was amazed by how many different color eyeshadows they had at the store. My mom started taking me with her and let me choose out a few colors each time we went. Being 18 now, my collection has grown so much. I have 60+ eyeshadows and other products from Mac. The eyeshadows stay on all day with a good base, they have so many colors, and they last awhile if you use them often. Mac products are a bit pricey, but you are paying for great quality, which all their products are.
