MAC Eye shadow is absolutely amazing. They offer it is so many colors that it is so easy for anybody to find the right shade for them. I LOVE LOVE LOVE MAC eyeshadows. They come in many different colors and are versatile in use; depending on how you apply, these eyesshadows can be very natural as well as show off the "intense broadway diva" look. They can be used anywhere you want color: eyes, lips, cheeks, and where ever else you find there should be "pop". Colors do not wear out at all, and applying their cream base makes gives it an even stronger hold and creamy shine. I'll keep this short and sweet. MAC shadows are very good quality and come in a huge array of colors. They blend well and have excellent coverage. — They are not, however, cheap. $14 for a single color is a little out of my comfort zone. There are several cheaper alternatives that have comparable blending and coverage, but not that have MAC's range of colors. If you don't mind mixing and matching brands, almost every MAC color can be duplicated more cheaply via other brands. I don't wear makeup every day. In fact I only wear it 1-2 ties per week. When my girlfriends would talk about Mac all the time I got curious. I started asking questions. After I was able to swallow the prices, I broke down and bought my first shadow. Avalanche. It is awesome. It goes on just how it looks in the package. The color stands out. It lasts much longer then others I have tried. Although I could not pony the money up for this brand all of the time or for a color I was unsure of it is worth it for the ones I wear more frequently. I love Mac make-up! I was introduced a few years ago to it and I will gladly fork out the money for the quality make-up. I started out with a basic palette and now have more than I can wear, it has become more of a collection of beautiful fun colors. While there are many, many choices for us in the makeup world, I keep coming back to MAC shadows. There are enough choices for the most conservative to the most outrageous and all gals in between. It goes on easy, stays on and looks great after a long day. — I try others but I always am disappointed. I like MAC eyeshadows for several reasons. The finely milled powder goes on very easily and it's a snap to smudge and layer. The most important part for me is its staying power, though. Drugstore shadows like Jane that come in cool colors always seem to crease in my eyelid by noon. MAC has done this the least of all the shadows I've tried, especially if I apply a little face powder to my lids first. The color selection is great too, though I usually stick to a few of them. I like Mac makeup. I use their eye shadows and lipsticks. I like the fact that i can try it before I buy it. The eye shadows however do have tendancy to break up, do to the fact that there is so much shimmer in them. When I fly I have to make sure that they are securely packaged so when they are in my luggage they don't get flunge around in my makeup bag. I have tried so many brands of eye shadow from the cheap to the expensive. Mac eye shadow is higher in price but worth the money. The colors are beautiful and the shadow stays on all day and night without fading. You also dont have to apply too much of it to get the desired look like you do with cheaper eye shadows. This is the best eyeshadow ever. If you're into bright vibrant colors for your lids this is the eyeshadow to go with. When going out on the town I love to have my makeup looking vibrant and fresh and trendy and the MAC eyeshadow does it for me. It doesn't smudge or run either and it doubles as an eyeliner (which is a little tricky to put on as an eyeliner). I worked in the cosmetics industry for years, and I have to say Mac is the best quality eyeshadow available for the price. It's better than a lot of more expensive brands. Most colors go on smoothly and evenly, the last most of the day, they don't seem to be irritating and they have almost every color could could want.
