MAC Eye Shadow Review Summary
The overwhelming majority of reviewers are singing the praises of MAC Eye Shadow. These little single pans of shadow are pricey but worth it, say our reviewers. There are a huge variety of shades and formulas and the shadow is flattering, long lasting, and doesn't crease. Whitechapelmaiden says, "Not a single nasty foamy thingy on a stick to be found, rather you get actual little brush you can use to create a wide array of looks, you can even use them to apply the shadow as liner!" Our beauty divas love that MAC Eye Shadow doesn't crease or migrate and looks fresh for hours. However if you have sensitive eyes or allergies Capriq warns, "I LOVED the color selection and quality of the shadows, but they just did not work for me," after experiencing redness, swelling and irritation. I know it sounds crazy to go out and spend $14.00 on eye shadow. But if you build your collection slowly, it's not that big of a financial deal...so long as you limit yourself to one per visit. Hah!

MAC Eyeshadow in the color Nocturnelle
The Color:
You can't go by the color chart that you see on the MAC website, because they have their shadings way off.
Noctornelle is described on the website as a 'pinked up chrome purple' (with a frost finish)
What you get in the actual store/mail though is a more marooned rose color with flecks of reddish brown...

That's not to say I don't enjoy looking glamorous for a date or a night out on the town. Special occasions deserve a special look, and when I want to look like a rockstar I turn to MAC eye shadow.

I discovered MAC about 8 years ago and of all of their products, I love their eyeshadows the most. The selection is outstanding and they always have a new color promotion. The shadows are highly pigmented and Mac offers many textures to choose from<i>(frosts, mattes, velvets, pearl, satin, lustre) </i>It is hard for me to walk out of the MAC store without purchasing a new color.
I've tried many other brands, but found the quality just doesn't compare to Mac.

I started wearing makeup about 5 years ago when I was 13. Following my mom's footsteps, I started using Mac eyeshadows. I was amazed by how many different color eyeshadows they had at the store. My mom started taking me with her and let me choose out a few colors each time we went. Being 18 now, my collection has grown so much. I have 60+ eyeshadows and other products from Mac. The eyeshadows stay on all day with a good base, they have so many colors, and they last awhile if you use them often. Mac products are a bit pricey, but you are paying for great quality, which all their products are.
