As far as an eyeshadow goes, I adore this color. I find loose pigments like this tedious, however, as even with primer, I find it smeary on my eyes. That being said, after long use and attempts with various mac colors, I found a light way to apply their pigment where there is minimal smearing. This color, whether going bold or light, or in layers to tone it down, is gorgeous. My main problem with the pigment other than its powder form is that it is heavily glittery. I wish sometimes that mac did away with this and made a separate compact. I have also used this as a stage makeup and very much like its smoothness, the way it allows you to blend is pretty superb. A personal daily use of mine is to layer down red and chocolate eyeshadow and blend the blue down into it, as my eyes are fairly close in color. All in all, I find the mac colors to be astoundingly bright, which is great if you go for bold. If not, experiment with primers and cream shadows to layer over or beneath.
