With the modern age of convenience, it's so much easier to get housework done. From swifter's for floors, to disposable toilet cleaners, these products have enabled us to get the "dirty" work done faster so we can enjoy life. One such product that I purchased to aid in my quest for convenience was Lysol Disinfectant Wipes with Micro-Lock Fibers.

About these wipes...

The 80 count wipes that I purchased for around $6.00, came in a large cylindrical container. The wipes contain Ammonium Chloride (.32%) as the active ingredient for its cleaning and fighting power. The manufacturer claims, "Each pre-moistened disposable wipe kills germs - even the bacteria that cause odors". The Micro-Lock Fibers are actually three types of fibers that are treated and woven together in a "hydroentanglement process" for greater durability and abrasion resistance.

What I think about them...

Upon opening the container, it took a little bit of work to get the first wipe through. Once done, the next ones were easier to come out and self fed. Unfortunately, almost one out of every five wipes would not feed through. I had to open the top manually, which became a chore during heavy cleaning sessions. The wipes themselves were great at cleaning up dried messes and foods with the help of the Microlock texture. With that being said, the wipes contained too much solution for a quick wipe or disinfecting. They left a train of wet suds behind that I had to wipe up with a paper towel. For heavy cleaning I find them useful, as I didn't need to spray the surface with a separate solution but for light cleaning it added an extra step.

My Final Viewpoint...

Overall Lysol Disinfectant Wipes with Micro-Lock Fibers are handy, good for heavy cleaning and cost less than other similar wipes. If you intend to mainly use these wipes for quick cleanups, then you may want to try another brand. I recommend this product for heavy cleaning and I am giving them a 3 star rating. For lighter clean ups that cost less, you may want to try Clorox Disinfecting Wipes.

Still, Laurie's review was great...even if it means paper towels are now, um, passe!

What are these "paper towels" you speak of?

Too wet? All you need is a kid in the house. They'll leave the lid up on ANYTHING!! ;-)

I actually use them with paper towels to give me longer lasting durability. I do love them though especially for cleaning up toys!

Lysol is one of my favorite products, no matter the form, and this sound like another product I would love to use. Thanks for the tip! :)

Yeah, I use these. To think we used to have to just use paper towels!
