Acceptable, but not always ideal

I bought this light when I bought my NOOK. If you simply use it with the NOOK alone, it works great and stays securely clipped to the reader. If you use a cover, however, then the clip isn't so secure. It slips a great deal and you have to pause frequently to readjust it. It is a flexible light, however, which does come in handy. You can adjust it so that you don't have any glare on your screen.

Lyra - Eh

If you own a Nook, you will need a booklight, unless you never read in low light. But what reader doesn't enjoy at least the occasional 'curl-up-in-bed-with-a-good-book-evening'? The Lyra light is made for Nook, so it attaches easily anywhere around the edges of the Nook, and the clip doesn't make me nervous that it will scratch my beloved Nook. It's small, which makes it nice and portable. The neck is bendy for easy adjustment in any direction. The negative? It glares. With only on bulb, I have difficulty arranging it so that it lights the entire screen, and there is always one spot that the light is reflecting too much. If they would make the light head a little wider, it could be tilted to illuminate the whole screen without the glare. Also, it would be nice if it were rechargable. If you ever fall asleep with your booklight on, this one's not for you; you'll need to invest in some spare batteries to keep with it.

Great Light-weight reading light!

I was pleasantly surprised at how convenient and great this light was to use with my Nook.  When my best friend decided to buy a Nook, I told her immediately that this was one accessory she HAD to buy.  It's super light, so it doesn't weigh down your device or book.  Its flexible wire makes it easy to manipulate in any direction.  The bulb is tiny and bright and doesn't shine in your eyes.  If you get a Nook (and you definitely should...) you have to get this accessory.

If the only place you need a light is at home.....turn on a lamp

Lyra - Lyra light for e-reader by B & N "the nook" The light is ok. I'm mean the actual light that the device puts out. It is enough light to read by or do whatever else you want to do on the device. I like to say, that I love my nook. I can't find a light that is very good.   I am finding many problems with it. The first  problem is I travel everyday. I don't need the light for lying in my bed. If that's what I needed it for it would be great. If i need light to read by in my house, I turn on a light. I ride the bus for a hour each way, every day. I need a light when it's still dark out in the morning on the bus and again when it's dark out on the way home. The light doesn't travel well. It doesn't fold up or fit inside the cover for my nook. My cover won't close if i put it along the spine because the space between the light and the clip isn't long enough. Another inch and it would fit in the spine with the light sticking out at one end and the clip at the other end.  I'm not sure that would solve the problem because I think that it is actually too long in the first place. If they would have made the clip with a little light on it, it would be easier to throw in my bag. Plus if it wasn't so long maybe I could find a way to just leave it clipped on.  It's a pain in the ass that the nook doesn't have a light on it and this isn't the solution.
