Love is a Rose Review

Years ago my brother bought a gift and had it shipped to our house. I saw the name "Love is a Rose" on the box and got curious, so I just had to peek. Inside was something the shape of a rose, smelled like a rose, but it was all silver!  I decided to check out the website on the box and that's when I learned this item was actually a rose, preserved in silver!

I have kept this site on my bookmarks since, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to buy something.  Then came my wedding and I knew I would buy a rose of some kind for my mom since she loves roses.

All that Glitters is Silver and Gold
Love is a Rose sells a few different types of products, but their big pull is the gold or silver plated or trimmed roses.  This is a beautiful real rose that is then preserved in silver or gold, or trimmed in silver.  With the rose my brother had purchased, you could even smell the flower underneath.  They state that the all silver roses may tarnish over time but they can be restored.  This won't happen to the gold or trimmed roses.  Otherwise, this rose will last forever!

You will find all types of roses under the "Gold Roses" section, not just gold plated ones.  There are roses that are completely silver as mentioned above, but what I ended up buying for my mom was a silver-trimmed red rose.  As you see in the picture, you can still see the rose underneath, but it has a light silver trim on the ends.  $60 may seem like a lot for one rose, but you have to remember that it will last forever.

The Heavenly Roses are just that, heavenly!  These are fake flowers but they look so beautiful that you could pretend they were real!  The Heavenly Red Roses will cost you over $100 dollars, but once again you have to remember these will last forever.

I also like the Birthday Roses and I probably will buy myself one, or at least someone else, at some point.  Each month has it's own rose that matches your birthstone color.  It would be cool to get one for each member of the family and keep them all in one vase!  I probably will do that once I start having kids as it will be a neat way to display our family.
