Beautiful story over time about lost and found love.

A story which takes in the fifty-year period at the end of the 19th and beginning of the twentieth centuries. We share the feelings of Fiorentino Ariza as he cannot help staring at the lovely but shy Fermina Daza. HATED IT. A big waste of time.
into Independent Films, an infrequent movie goer

This "lovesick" young man swears his eternal love and faithfulness for a woman...for awhile.  Then, after another woman "surprises" him with his first "experience," he becomes promiscuous (600+ women).  So much for "eternal love and faithfulness."
