Love in the Time of Cholera (2007) —

A story which takes in the fifty-year period at the end of the 19th and beginning of the twentieth centuries. We share the feelings of Fiorentino Ariza as he cannot help staring at the lovely but shy Fermina Daza. The film takes a turn when the accidental death of the eighty year old Dr. Juvenal Urbino, married for a half century to the seventy-two year old Fermina Daza, occurs. Visited on the day of the funeral by Florentino Ariza, she is angry at the audacity of a man who professes his lifetime love for her when the movie flashes back to their early courtship and takes us through some fifty years of their lives including her marriage and children, his numerous romantic conquests with eath of their long and eventful journeys back to the security of each other's arms.
