Lost Review Summary

Reviewers find Lost to be the "coolest scripted show on television," albeit "a little weird." According to the fans, the idea of this show is that no one really truly understands or knows what's going on. From the producers of Cloverfield and Alias, it's "intriguing, suspenseful [and] keeps you guessing" as "the writers capture the viewers' attention with interesting dialogue, suspenseful scenes" Starring Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly, Lost is like an updated Gilligan's Island, as plane crash survivors are stranded on a remote island, although not as much of a comedy, as it has "mystery, drama, suspense" from "a carefully planned, cleverly written script with an elegant choice of actors." Reviewers also appreciate that ABC puts the episodes up online, as it helps them keep up if they miss an episode in this continuing drama that "always leaves you wanting more.

Lost is without a doubt an excellent show and I enjoy the ride evry time.

What is really entertaining is each week my girlfriend complains when I start watching, "I don't understand what is going on here!" and then exits the room.

That is the whole idea, no one knows what is going on, where they are, why...

Ok, the new husband is obsessed with this show.  I think it's ok, but come on, how many times to I have to watch what happened a season or 2 ago?  I think for Lost to continue and to be a success, they need to come up with some new material.  My new hubby thinks it'll be great to own all of the seasons... review »

LOST is a show that obviously was created by people with a great imagination. This is a show that at first glance, I didn't have much interest in watching, but after flipping through the channels one night 4 years ago, my husband and I found nothing that captured our attention until we came across this program. We have been hooked ever since. The writers capture the viewers attention with interesting dialogue, suspenseful scenes and keep you always guessing as to what is going to happen next, or what a particular scene has to do with the overall storyline. I definitely give this show 2 thumbs... review »

Lost, best show on television, by far!! I absolutely love this show! I just started watching it about 3 months ago. There are three stations that air their shows on our cable provider. I record about 15 episodes a week on the DVR. I watch 3-4 episodes a night! I just can't get enough of it!

For those of you who say the title says it all, I have been there too! Please give it time. If you watch 5 or 6 episodes, things will start coming together and before you know it, you will be hooked as well!

I would love to meet the cast in person, on the set (they film it in Hawaii!). Whoever was the casting...

Lost is the coolest scripted show on television.  It's smart television.  It keeps you guessing and thinking long after the episode is over.  In fact, I catch myself thinking about Lost way too often.  My hubby and I have a running joke that if I'm being quiet for more than a minute or two, it's because I'm thinking about Lost, and the messed up part is that more often than not, it's true.  The show is totally engaging.  It really gets your wheels turning.  I don't think I've ever seen a scripted show that was so mentally interactive.  If you came upon two Lost fans talking about the show...

Lost is my all time favorite show.  It has a little bit of everything in it.  Mystery, drama, suspense, even humor.  It is expertly written and always entertaining.  It is also so confusing that it drives me crazy but that also makes it enjoyable and keeps me coming back for more.  I am a person who does not like things that are too scary or too disgusting.  Lost has a little of both but it has not turned me away because they show is so good.  The writers keep you guessing at what is going to happen next and once you start watching you will be hooked for life.  I happened to catch this... review »

I have watched this show from day one, and loved every minute of it. I knew from the first episode this was going to be a phenomenal show! The characters are so wonderful, the story is so exciting! I love the mystery and intrigue! It's so different from every other predicable show out there! I look so forward to every episode!

This is the best show I have ever seen. Each episode adds another twist that you never see coming - it really is unbelievable.  I have watched faithfully since season one and am now the proud owner of all three seasons.

The only real "con" that I would apply to the show is that it can become somewhat addictive at times.  I have spent hours watching people on youtube talk about their Lost Theories and researching obscure facts on Lostepedia.  When they started the Hanso stuff in season 2 I literally stayed online for a week trying to figure it all out.

The show has everything - suspense, likeable...

The story is mind-blowing in Lost.. It is really engaging; you just have to watch it! It is obvious that what we are dealing with is a carefully planned, cleverly written script with an elegant choice of actors..

But story flow is really slow and there are just so many details, you cannot keep all in mind! As the seasons getting shorter and time between each season getting longer, it is quite easy to lose interest & forget important point about the show..

Lost is a top show without a doubt!!!!! My favorite season is the first one because that's when you get to know everyone and trying to figure out what's going on. The first episode especially was so exilerating (if I spelled that right) and ended with you wanted more and more. Lost is definitely laugh out loud funny and full of so many twists and turns that no one could ever see coming. What I would say is if you want to watch the show, go for it, but don't try to start it from anywhere else but the pilot episode. Because you will need to know some of the things from the first season to understand...

I was spoiled the first time I watched LOST because it was on DVD already for the first season.  My husband and I watched the entire first season in like five days (that was during a work week too). So when the second season started, we couldn't get enough and would get soooooooo frustrated when it was over and having to wait a week till the next episode. Kudos to the good people at ABC for putting the episodes online cause my husband works nights alot and is unable to watch it Thursdays. I always tell him I'll wait and watch it with him, but I can't. I think its really cool what they are doing... review »

When the TV show Lost first aired, I wasn't sure how they would pull off a series with a cast marooned on an inhabited (maybe) island.  I was pleasantly surprised and was instantly hooked!  The first season had me and pretty much the majority of my co-workers talking, guessing the next twist, telling our own theories about this show.  The second season was a little messier and not quite as solid but still kept our attention.  The next season, they took forever to start the new season, and to be honest, most of us lost interest.  Here it is, almost the new year and Lost is coming back!  I... review »

Everytime you think you have it figured out what kind of genre this show is it changes.  I wasn't too into this show for the first few episodes; I thought it was just people marooned on an island---how will they survive, get along and be rescued at the end of the series.  But it turns out it is science fiction, but the best kind----the "physics" makes sense, there's a morality tale, there's character development, humor, "easter eggs" etc.  It a show that I wanted them to show a repeat of the following week before showing a new one, just to make sure I didn't miss any clue.  BUT IT IS DEFINITELY...

I have watched LOST from the begining. I am always on the edge waiting to see what will happen next. Always growling when the show ends because i am not ready for it to.

This show is so packed with adventure, great scenery, great acting, it has humor, tears, hope, faith, romance and that doesnt even tell it all.

The actors truely bring their talents into this show making us the viewers fall in love with them or hate them, as well as pray they find their way home. However, wishing at the same time they stay so the show never ends.

It is a show of mystery, keeping you guessing and shocking you when...

I am the first to admit that I am addicted to the Thursday night hour of confusion called Lost.  Every episode they add more questions rarely answering the long list we already have.  But I keep watching, keep hoping they will give me some answers.  And at the end of each episode ,my husband and discuss our therories on the wonders of this hour long drama.  And I spend the next week counting down the hours till the next episode of mystery and questions.

I can't get enough though.  What am I going to do when the show ends?
