Lost the series; at first, I was hooked; now I'm not so sure.

When the TV show Lost first aired, I wasn't sure how they would pull off a series with a cast marooned on an inhabited (maybe) island.  I was pleasantly surprised and was instantly hooked!  The first season had me and pretty much the majority of my co-workers talking, guessing the next twist, telling our own theories about this show.  The second season was a little messier and not quite as solid but still kept our attention.  The next season, they took forever to start the new season, and to be honest, most of us lost interest.  Here it is, almost the new year and Lost is coming back!  I will try to watch the first episode, but to be honest, I almost feel as if the writers of the show played a nasty trick on us.  I'm not the enthusiastic gung ho fan I was in the first season.  If they bring back the endless episodes going over what has happened again and again, I will quit watching.  I sure hope they have a good show this time.  I'm going to root for them, but I'll be back to share my opinion afterwords.
