**I am a chronic pain sufferer and I  was prescribed Loratab for my pain. This pain medication helps me get through my day because it alleviates my pain and makes the day more bearable. It doesnt completely take the pain away but helps out a whole lot. With Loratab you have to take it every four to six hours, or as needed, or as prescribed by your doctor. Taking to much of this medication may cause breathing difficultly especially in patients that already have breathing problems due to Asama or Infazima related symptom's or pre existing conditions. It may also cause liver damage with prolonged use in most patients. People that take Loratab's are very likely to become addicted to this drug because it is an Opiate also known as a narcotic class drug. If you take this drug for a long period of time the odds of getting addicted are very likely. If you start taking more than the recomended dosage,or they stop working like they used to in the beginning then consult your doctor immediately. Liver damage will defiantly ocure if you take more than the recomended dosage. The Acetomiaphine is what will cause the liver damage. I started out taking Vicodin 7.5/750 after awhile those became inefective and I was switched to Loratab wich has a lower Acetomiaphine level but a higher Hydrocodone level. This was mainly done to prevent liver damage from ocuring and also because the vicodin weren't working properly anymore. I recommend Loratab for a short period of time but not as a long term cure. Prolonged use of this drug is not recomended by me at all basically because it does cause addiction.**

I have suffered from lower back pain as far back as I can remember. I discussed the problem with my family doctor and she pretty much ignored me. She said that alot of people just have back pain and that nothing could really be done for it. I would just have to live with the pain and suffering. I believed her for many years. i thought I just had to suck it up and try to ignore it every single minute of every single day.  One day I could not take it anymore and decided to go to the emergency room. They tested my kidneys and asked me some questions. They even took an exray to see if my back was out of alignment. All the tests came back fine. Turns out I was one of millions suffering from chronic lower back pain. I had no idea how many people suffer with the same condition every single day. I no longer felt alone. The doctor prescribed me Loratab ten miligram and told me to any take them when I really needed them. They worked great! they took away the pain and let me live my life!

**Lortab takes the edge off of chronic pain.  I've been on Lortab as prescribed by my Neurologist for the past 4 years.  I have herniations in the cervical and lumbar spine along with tarlov cyst disease and arithritis. Lortab keeps me moving but it doesn't take the pain completely away...it helps me deal with my circumstances enough that I can get some things accomplished that I wouldn't be otherwise able to do.  My biggest beef about this drug is that it does make you sleepy or groggy.  There is not any narcotics that do not make you tired. Tolerance levels do not change as quickly as with other pain medications.  I've been on this for years and have not had to increase that much.  It does tend to be somewhat harsh on my stomach.  I don't always remember to eat when I take my medication.  As with any prescription medication, it is imperative to take as prescribed and with your doctors consent.**

Lortab is a Narcotic Opiate Pain Reliever for Moderate to Severe Pain. It can be Habit Forming but as a Chronic Pain Patient and Taken as Directed, Lortab is a Very Well Tolerated Drug to Most People. It helps Me to get some pain relief and if Taking it with alittle food or crackers in my stomach, I can tolerate it without Stomach Upset. I do not drink Alcohol at any time because, reason one, Lortab or any Narcotic will present Severe Side Effects.The Tylenol in Lortab should Not be taken with even a minimal amount of Alcohol as it can be toxic as the drug is filtered through The Liver. By adding alcohol to Lortab, it Will Decrease Mental Alertness, make Me very drowsy and Judgement is not always correct. Lortab is a very popular Drug and is a Derivitive of Codeine and can be tolerated for someone with a Codeine Allergy.Lortab is easier on the Stomach and is a Very Well tolerated Pain Reliever and again, Taken as Directed by your Doctor. I take Lortab three times a day for Chronic Pain and I don't zonk out anymore as I am used to Lortab.I do not mis-use Lortab and don't Overtake it just because I'm in Pain.Lortab helps to put my body in a Pain Rescue Motion where I may still feel my pain but I can get up and do things in Life without just wanting to Scream or Stay in Bed because I can't Walk or My Back is in Spasm.As A Chronic Pain Patient I've tried many medications through the years and I can tolerate Lortab better than anything else that has been prescribed to Me.I would recomend Lortab as The Chronic Pain Patient's Choice as Chronic means It's Always there.Lortab helps Me to Live Life alittle less Painfree and I'm Satisfied in taking it because it's a Well Tolerated Medication.I know I will be on Pain Medication for The Rest of My Life with My Bad Body and I feel comfortable taking Lortab because I know it works for Me.My body is Most Likely Dependent on Lortab but it helps Me to Be a Person. An Active Constructive Person and the Pain Relief I receive form Lortab out ways The Risks and Increases The Benefit I receive from taking it.Don't Abuse any kind of Medication and Learn to Do The Best You can. Chronic Pain Patients that take Lortab as Directed by Your Doctor and Totally Abstaining from Alcohol can and will help Me live a Pretty Good Life.

Over seven years ago, I suffered a severe leg injury that left me with permanent muscular, nerve and soft tissue damage to my left thigh and knee.  My doctor sent to my orthopaedic specialists, neurological specialists, pain management clinics and even a surgeon.  All of the doctors and specialists told me there was no surgical treatment nor physical therapy that would ever improve or alleviate my pain.  I felt beaten.  I went back to my family doctor and he suggested I try Lortab 7.5 in conjunction with a benzodiazapine to help ease my pain.  He was exactly right.  After a year of trying every combination of other prescription medications, together we came up with Lortab 7.5 and Valium 5mg.  This particular combination taken four times per day has kept me pain free ever since.  I have never suffered any side effects from the Lortab, and combined with the Valium I can now sleep peacefully every night.  I highly recommend anyone to ask their doctor about this excellent pain medication.  It works wonders for me and is inexpensive as well.  Remember though, this is a narcotic pain reliever, and may not be suitable for everyone.  Use with care and only under the supervision of your physician.

I just recently got oneof my teeth pulled   my tooth was pulled on the third and i felt so good afterwards because i was prescribed lortab. as soon as i left te dentist i got my prescriptin filled and was knocked out for a couple of hours when i woke up i forgot i just had a tooth pulled because i felt no pain at all, I was on coud nine for the whole day.

Ever since my rollover accident in '94 I have been put on many pain medications, given a bazillion tests and had many sleepless nights. I have jumped down peoples throats because of my pain and strained relationships. I can honestly say that I have been a bear to live with and although I have been told " I understand what you're going through" so many times it doesn't mean anything anymore. Am I bitter? yeah I guess I am...After being up front on my condition I have yet to meet anyone that will treat me like a normal person. I am no different than anybody else except I need pain medications in order to function and yes while in pain I am grumpy but I don't mean it personally. Enough of my venting about my pain and on to the newest drug in my arsenal to try and live a near pain free existence! **Hydrocodone 10.0 (Loratab 10's--10mg Hydrocodone/500mg Acetaminophen)** ** **I started on the lower dose on the scale (5mg Hydrocodone/250mg Acetaminophen) and worked my way up as my condition worsened. Now I am on the highest dosage they make along with a Fentanyl Patch. The 7.5's (7.5mg Hydrocodone/500mg Acetaminophen) made me dizzy at times but helped with the pain. I have nerve damage and 6 damaged discs in my back, along with degenerative disc disease and to top it off I also have Fibromylagia. About 3 months ago the pain got worse and my Dr. upped my dosage to the 10's and now once again I can tolerate things day to day. Since the 7.5's had made me dizzy I was worried about the higher dose but too my surprise I don't get dizzy from the 10's, in fact they don't even make me lightheaded! Instead they go right to work and within 20 minutes I feel pretty darn good! The Acetaminophen is what makes the Hydrocodone work faster and better and apparently this higher dose is the perfect combo for my condition of Chronic Pain, Nerve Damage and Fibromylgia. When the pain gets too much for the Fentanyl to handle I take 1 of my 10's and I make it through the pain without getting all light headed or sick to my stomach.Imagine you're sitting watching television and someone walked over and stuck a large sewing needle in you....Would it hurt, you're damn skippy it would! Well that's what I put up with a lot of the time and it does make me grumpy. I can be laying perfectly still and a pain will shoot through my arm, leg or back. These usually happen in bunches and last a day or two when they flair up, now with the Lortab 10's I can actually dull the pain to a bark instead of a roar. It in no way stops it but it makes it easier to live with.In fact I was first only allowed to take 1 every few days, then after further tests they realized I really did have problems and I now can take up to 3 a day. It is bad enough to be in pain but it is worse when you have to convince Dr.'s you are not just in it for the drugs. Finally I have gained my Dr.'s trust and now I can move forward hopefully and regain what my years of pain have robbed me of.....my personal life!I keep hearing that these drugs are addicting but when you need them it doesn't matter. I don't crave drugs for the sake of having them, they help me handle the pain I have. There is a difference in needing and wanting drugs. I would gladly trade places with a drug addict because then I could go to rehab and kick the habit of drugs. I can't kick the pain however so I have a reason to take drugs. If you don't have a strong will then taking any drug will get the better of you. I have been taking these pain drugs for 14 years but I never look forward to taking them except to dull my pain. **Bottom Line **After years of taking pain pills and being limited in what I can do, I have now also developed depression which I am being treated for. I will never be pain free (14 years and counting ) but I can function to some degree. I have been told the next step will have to be surgery but I will put it off until I can't deal with it any longer. Yes I am stubborn and also scared the surgery won't work and I will only be worse. If you have severe pain then I can understand what you're going through but hang in there and do what you can. Being in pain can make life lonely but deal the best you can and know there really are some drugs that work. I still have bad days but there is nothing I can do but deal with them as they come.
