It's A-OK

3

This microphone is the epitome of average. It'll perform its function and capture sound, but if you're in a noisy environment, it will capture all the background sound as well. I used this mic while doing some Rosetta Stone, but there were some noisy people behind me, and their laughter kept confusing the program. You gotta use this in a quiet place. The shape of it is like a long fountain pen. You can pivot the microphone around the base. It has a nice stand that allows it to stand up by itself. It has a green light when it's plugged in. It connects to your laptop so you don't have to charge it. It doesn't take batteries! Yes, it's a very average contraption.

Add a Microphone to your PC setup!

I frequently use voice chat apps such as Skype and Oovoo, so having a good microphone is a must. Before I was using my headphone mic, which did not produce the clear sound I wanted as was also noticed by my friends and family listening to me on the other end. This Logitech USB microphone did the job. It is not space consuming and the mic can be moved/repositioned along the base. There is an on/off button on the mic base that lights up when in use. Have been using it for months now and no problems with it. It really is a nice microphone addition to any desktop PC.

Excellent design for a desktop microphone

The only problem I had with this product was getting the computer to recognize a USB microphone (it's the first USB microphone I'd ever used). But once I figured out how to get microphone input via USB instead of the microphone input in the back, it has worked marvelously. The odd shape of the microphone makes it very easy to set it in whatever position is comfortable and convenient.

Awesome product for a good price.

This microphone can be purchased for around $30. It has an active noise reduction or noise cancelling system built in. There is no software needed to be installed; just plug it in and you're ready to go. You get good quality sound and a mute button that also functions as an off button. Overall this is a really good microphone for Skype, etc. because the sound quality blows cellular off the charts. If you want to record music professionally or looking for better sound then consider investing in a 1/4 in plug microphone or condenser.

This microphone works as advertised

A no-frills USB microphone, this device has sat on my desk for the last month. I've been using the mic during game playing, and sound quality is great. It's sensitive, has echo cancelation, and works as featured. The big green button on the base lets me know immediately if the mic is on or off. I haven't tested it's full range, but seeing how sensitive it is to the slightest vibrations on my desk during my Mumble setup, I believe I could be as far as 6 feet away and people could still hear me clearly. Currently, the Mic only seats 1 foot away from me, but sound quality is good. The cord is of good length, and installation is easy, just plug it in and start talking. Working as advertised, this microphpone is easy to use.

Best desktop microphone

A little background information regarding my computer workstation setup.  I have a Windows 7 Ultimate machine paired with a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 sound card.  It is common knowledge that Creative Labs is not the best when it comes to updating its drivers to support the latest Operating Systems.  If you can get it to work flawlessly, consider yourself lucky.  I have mine working for the most part.  Sound output was great; however, microphone output was unacceptable.  I considered using onboard sound from the motherboard, but it was noticeable worse sounding than the Audigy.  So there I was, stuck with good sound card but poor microphone input.  Rather than purchase a new sound card for $100 or more just for mic input, I decided to bypass the sound card and purchase this USB microphone and it has been the best decision of my life.  Everyone on the other end of my chats have commented on how great it sounds.  The build quality is great as well.  There is a convenient mute button.  The cord is plenty long for it to reach even the hardest to reach places.  Logitech rocks, as always.

Great for the Price

We recently bought this computer microphone to use for Skype.  We bought it at Walmart for about $10.  I think it was a great investment.  Previous to this, we were using a headset with an attached microphone and it was super lame.  I was not at all sad when it got lost in our cross country move.  This is so much better for using to talk to our families over skype.  We just set it near the computer and it catches most everything.  I will say you have to keep it pretty close to you to make sure that people can hear you.  But that is true of most microphones. We have not really had any problems, though, with it fuzzing out or with people not being able to hear us.  It was really easy to set up, too.  Whenever we get ready to skype, we just take it out of the drawer and plug it in.  I love that we didn't have to install fancy software and that it is just really easy to plug in and go.  For ten dollars, I cannot ask for anything more!

The Logitech USB Mic is good for any standard computer.

The mic is well usable for most computers. Just have to keep up with it and not just treat it like trash. You can adjust settings on the computer to get the mic where you like it to be. (If there is an issue, check the computer first before tossing the mic out.) Good cord length, not too short or long. Laptop users get good use of this as it is affordable price and just take it with you. May need to have a case for it when not using it or roll up the cord and place it in a cubby or a drawr. However, not well if you have a crowd talking on it at once. Good for one person say, a bussniess man at a desk having a voice chat with someone. Or a family member communicating with another family member.Generally, it can be found at a variety of places for a well price. I would not pay for it at a idiotic price nor too low of on(may have some flaws to it of some kind). Although it looks meger and not very much, it is generally a well built mic.

Great mic for Skype and BlogTV!

If you're in need of a simple, functional microphone with good audio quality that won't cost you the farm, then you don't really have to look much further than the Logitech desktop microphone.  It's ridiculously easy to set up and even easier to use.  The pedestal microphone is seated on your desk and you push the button and start talking.  The USB plug ensures that your computer will recognize it in moments - no more bothering with drivers or installation disks! - and as soon as you get it plugged in, you're all ready to go!  The one thing I will say - and this is after having used the microphone almost daily for a whole year - is that after a while, the hinge that's used to raise and lower the microphone itself *can* start to wear out and will leave the microphone flopping down on its pedestal right in the middle of a conversation.  You can find this microphone for less than $30 in most places, which makes it a really great solution for fans of Skype.
