This Logitech webcam is really a solid product. It's very durable. You can travel with it (though most laptops have cams built in now). It works really well on Skype and Google Talk. Sometimes the video is blurry, but that's really the connection. It does anything you would want a webcam to do. Great built in microphone. Compatibility Never had a problem getting it to work with any computer. Video Quality Hardly 720p, but it varies by Internet connection. Ease of Use It's plug and play. Durability I drop it on the floor all the time. It's extremely durable.

I use this mainly to talk to my girlfriend on skype. She is studying abroad and doing some volunteering work as well and I cannot see her. It's not too bad since she will be coming back soon but in the meantime this logitech item helps a lot. If you are in a relationship and you cut off communicatino from them it is aweful. Communicatino through cellphone is not practical as it costs a lot, an enormous amount if you are talking between countries. Email is possible and we do use email, but it's very impersonal as it is just text. Skyping and video webcam chat is the best as it does not cost much at all, and you can hear and see the other person. You obviously need a webcam for using such video and the pro 9000 gives you very good quality video for your needs.

A friend got this for me and wow does it work well! The picture quality is very, VERY sharp and it can mount on a desk or on top of a monitor. The microphone quality is top-notch, too! It follows movement well, although if it gets out of focus, autofocus doesn't always work perfectly. However, if I cover up the webcam to make it totally black and take my hand away, it seems to 'refresh' the focus and it's able to focus on me again. Also, I make a note to unplug it when it's not in use; when it's plugged in it gets warm very quickly. Fortunately it's never gotten hot, but I take no chances and fear that someday it may just overheat. Overall, though, it works great! For both webcam games, recording vlogs (or other skits for that matter), video calls, and even taking still pictures, I cannot get over how sharp this cam is! And very, very easy to mount, too. It also plugs in with a USB cable, so you can plug it into just about anything and it'll work.

I bought this webcam when my daughter was born so that I could keep in touch with my family who lives in other states. I wanted a camera that gave a good quality picture at a good frame rate and while less expensive webcams usually trade one for the other, this one does not. It runs in full HD at a smooth framerate when taking video and when broadcasting. 95% of the use I've gotten out of the Quickcam 9000 has been over Skype with other people who I have convinced to buy the same camera. A good image quality does require a good internet connection but once you have it the video is perfect. Images show up as clear as those that have been pre-recorded and sent over YouTube. The software that comes with it is also very unobtrusive which is a huge plus. I don't like software that gets in my way and there is none of that if you don't want it. The install is very fast and easy and it comes with a controller that lets you apply all sorts of wacky effects. Those are pretty much just a novelty but they're fun enough. The software also has all sorts of different options for recording video. I have nothing bad to say about this webcam other than it can be a bit tricky to make still, the cord makes it easy to push around.

This webcam has very high quality and retails for only 70 bucks. it is very portable and has auto focus as well as manual focus. It is alos very good for making stop motion videos. the only bad thing about this product is it is sometimes hard to stand up.

after purchasing the logitech quickcam pro 9000 (what a long name) i am sold on webcams that have at least a carl zeiss optics lense. from now on, that is what i am getting. i moved up from a junky 9.99 webcam that created all kinds of distortion and grain. the quickcam pro 9000 is extremely clear. it has a 2.0 megapixel sensor coupled with a carl zeiss optics, creating awesome webcam images and video. it has autofocus that focuses on its own when i move the webcam around. in addition, if the lighting of the room, for whatever reason, changes, the quickcam 9000 will atuo adjust the lighting. very, very convenient. the quickcam 9000 also comes with Video Effects, software from logitech that allows you to goof around your webcam vids (for example, add special effects like becoming a fish, inverse colors etc that kind of thing). it also comes with software that allows you to make videos. the one drawback is that this does not record in 1080p, only 720p.

I purchased this Webcam for my Dell Desktop Computer, as I have several Grandchildred living several hundred miles away, With the Pro 9000 Webcam I get clear crisp pictures with a clearity of sound that is unbeleavable.  With out the Webcam, I would not be able to communicate with my Grandchildren and be able to watch them grow. Love this one and Recommend to anyone

I bought a few webcam but logitech 900 pro is the best one that i ever used.  Not only that the image quality is the best but what i really like is the microphone.  I used the webcam to record video to check on my employees while i was away. it is great. with its mic, i can hear everything that they said even more than 25 feets away....try it and you will love it.

The Logitech web cam is really good. But it is also expensive, my mom bought it for us because we moved across country.  I can not compare it to less expensive brands, but can tell you it works best with no other programs running and with fast connection speed.  We use are with skype, because my parents use Macs. Another good reason this cam works so well.
