I bought this mouse because it was recommended by Kyle, our local "geek on the go".  I am more of a practical business user.  However, since a few of my previous wireless mice had crapped out on me at home, I thought this one sounded good and recently purchased it.  I am very impressed for the following reasons:

1) I did not realize that the Logitech MX Revolution Mouse is rechargeable which I really like.  I find that in my other wireless mice, I am constantly replacing the battery.  And, the little charging station is sleek and cool looking.

2) The biggest new feature of the Logitech MX Revolution Mouse vs any other wireless mouse that I have it that the wireless transmitter is no longer the little rounded box with a cord that goes into either 9 pin (?) connector or a USB connector.  Instead, the connector  is a very small piece the size of a very small USB flash drive.  I plugged it in and without any further configuration, the mouse works perfectly.  That is my kind of set up!

3) It also seems to be very precise in its movements.  I like the scroll wheel which I use regularly.  It flows smoothly but has a small clicking feel to it as well. There is also a scroll wheel on the side next the where your thumb goes but it does not work right now.  I probably need to configure it or install the software.  There is a very small button on the top that launched a new Search window in Windows XP, but I don't think I will be using that.

4) At $77 purchased from Amazon this is a pricey mouse.  At the same time I also  purchased the Logitech VX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks.  The notebook version uses a battery rather than a charger and is about 1/3 smaller than the Logitech MX Revolution Mouse. This version was $50.

I suspect however, that I will save $25+ over the life of the mouse by not having to replace the batteries so often.  Another nice feature is that it has an on/off button on the bottom.

Bottom Line:  Cool design, easy to install, works very well and is rechargeable.

Welcome to the best darn mice in the universe, manufactured by Logitech. The little USB transceiver is a revolution all by itself. Enjoy I do!
