Logitech MX 1100 is an excellent cordless mouse

Comments about Logitech MX 1100 Mouse:

This mouse is excellent, though quality control might be an issue. The mouse might be too large for some people, but I find the supportive curved shape pleasing. There are a good number of programmable buttons, and the hidden thumb button is an interesting idea. Unfortunately I went through a couple of mice that didn't work properly, either being completely DOA or having malfunctioning thumb buttons, but that may have been due to a temporary contamination of the supply chain with returned mice. The batteries seem to last a very long time, and though rechargeable would might be good, it's probably better to use your own rechargeables and recharger rather than relying on a mouse company to come up with a good solution. If there is anything not to like about this mouse it is the wireless receiver, which is pretty huge if you are using it for a laptop. Such a large mouse probably wasn't designed for portable use, though.****

Excellent but not without its flaws

Comments about Logitech MX 1100 Mouse:

I have been using this mouse for a few months now, as I got a desktop recently.  This mouse is what I wanted - ergonomic, lots of buttons, wireless, and big enough for my hands.  Therefore, I was really happy owning it.  But it is very large, not just long but also very tall, so when you grip it at first, it feels strange.  Since I have big hands (im a 6 foot tall guy), I prefer this, but for many other people this would be very bad.

The buttons are good, there are in total 5 other than the main ones and click wheel.  2 of them are used for adjusting DPI, but its great how I can customize it, I use it to change the volume.  The 'hidden' button is also nice, you squeeze your thumb and it does the action you assigned to it.

Another feature is the unlockable scroll wheel, which lets it fly.  This is useful and easy to do, however I don't use it as often as I thought.  It does help when scrolling a lot though, because otherwise my finger would be tired.

The wireless works fine but I found that if it was more than a few feet away from the receiver, I had problems with it.  This kind of irks me because my tower is about 4 feet away from my mouse, so I had to use an extension cable.  Other than that, this mouse has been great.
