Great compact wireless mouse

5

This mouse does everything you need it to do. The small receiver is a huge plus and battery life is great. It fits well in the hand but can feel small at times. The buttons and scroll wheel respond really well. Performance The mouse responds well at varying distances and surfaces. I have not had any problems with it yet. Durability It seems to be shock-proof. My child has thrown it on the floor and the battery door will pop off but that is about it. Very happy with it. Design I like the sleek color scheme and placement of the side buttons and scroll wheel. Very well designed. Comfort It is a little smaller than the mice I used before so it took some getting used to but it generally fits well in the palm and the contours for your fingers are well placed.

POOR tracking on almost all surfaces

1

Before I write about my negative experience with the Logitech M510 Wireless mouse, let me say that I did these things in an attempt to remedy the situation: 1. I returned it and received a replacement (new in box) 2. I replaced the batteries with new ones out the the package. TWICE! 3. I tried the mouse of every conceivable surface. This mouse tracks horribly on all surfaces except those with regular recurring patterns (e.g. graphing paper). I wonder if there were different manufacturing runs, becuase so many other reviews are glowing! For whatever reason, my expereince with this mouse is horrible and I would give it a negative number if possible.

Sensitive, comfortable but not for left-handies

5

Logitech M510 is a really good wireless mouse, and it goes on sale quite frequently, which makes it an even better mouse. It's full sized, rather than small mobile mouse like m310. And it's well designed, I think, since it holds perfectly not only in my palm but also in all my family members' palms, really cool. And it has two small buttons on it's left side, which are super convenient for turning pages forward or backward - saves a lot of hassle since you no longer need to move your mouse to left top page and click on those slippery buttons, you simply move your thumb a little bit, and you can flip through pages easier than ever. It's also very sensitive and accurate, works on all kinds of surfaces, great for home and travel. You can turn it off easily when it's not in use. It also has long battery life, about 2 years according to the product description. I have been using them for only about 6 months (heavy use), I don't know about how long the battery can last but so far it works great. One little disappointment is that I don't see corresponding style for left-handies. I'm almost ambidextrous but I use my left hand more often, but this nice mouse doesn't quite work for my left hand. The convenient little buttons on the left makes it not so comfortable to hold in left hand, and they lost their meaning when they cannot be easily clicked.

Logitech Wireless Mouse

4

I am using a Logitech wireless mouse for the first time. I usually use the key pad and move my finger on the pad to work on the laptop. I am now using my son's laptop computer and the mouse came with it. (I crashed mine again). I tried to use one a long time ago and it was too large for my hand. This one is comfortable and easy to use. I am still trying to figure out the small buttons on the left side of the mouse. One reviewer on Viewpoints explained it and I need to try to study the procedure. I am always learning something on a computer. I like the roller ball on top of the mouse as it is so much easier on the hand. I do find that it rolls quiclky and need to watch my fingers. I have learned where to put the laser light. This mouse takes two AAA batteries. It is not easy to replace if you have big fingers because one battery is deep into the mouse. There is an off button on the back of the mouse and I try to remember to turn it off after I am finished for the day.

Great Wireless Mouse

5

I received the Logitech M510 wireless mouse for Christmas. This is the first wireless mouse that I have ever had and I love it. I did not know what I was missing using my old wired mouse for so long. By no means am I a computer/technology expert. The mouse is the perfect size, slim, and has an ergonomic shape with contoured sides. It has forward and back buttons on the side that are easy to use, a finger scroll on the top and it is a very comfortable fit. The battery seems to last a long time. Logitech claims a 2 year battery life, but we'll just have to wait and see.d There is an on/off switch on the bottom of the mouse that you can use if you won't be using it for long periods of time. I have not had any issues so far with the battery. There is storage for the USB receiver directly in the mouse. There is a slide cover underneath it. I use the mouse with the my laptop and like that I can just pick it up and carry it to a different table. I have not had any problems with tracking; however, I use the mouse on a mousepad, not directly on the tabletop.

Very Good Wireless Mouse!

5

Ther are a lot of good wireless mice producted by Logitech and this Logitech M510 (910001822) Wireless Mouse is definitely one of them. I bought it together with a Logitech wireless keyboard with a very nice price on Thanksgiving. Actually this is the first time I try to use wireless mouse and keyboard. I was worrying about its accuracy before using it. However, after use it I was so amazed how well it worked. The design is very cool and it is extremely comfortable to put it in hand. It is quick to respond, accurate and precise.Batteries are supposed to last a long time so that is the best feature. The small antenna is great barely sticks out of USB. The setup is also very easy and fast. I really love using it to surf the Internet and do some photoshop work. The only thing I can say about its disadvantage is that the two "forward/backward" button on the left side sometimes doesn't work well. Overall it is a good selection that most should be happy with.

GET THE LOGITECH M510 AND DON'T LOOK BACK

I recently got the Logitech M510 Mouse, because my Microsoft mouse was acting up.  I really like the design of this mouse.  It has great rubber thumb grips and little finger grip.  The scroll wheel can scroll from side to side as well as the typical scroll.  The battery life is phenomenal.  I have used it for about 2 months and have not had to change the battery yet.  It uses 2 AA batteries, but only one is needed.  The second battery just prolongs the time before you have to change the battery.  The mouse has a back and forward button, which add to the mouse substantially.  What I REALLY liked about it, though, was the software that you download for it.  You can change the action of nearly every button to almost anything you can think of!  Right now, the side scroll on mine are volume controls, while the back and forward are copy and paste, and the scroll button is play/pause.  It doesn't get better than that!  The only thing I slightly disliked about it was the "slippery" plastic of the top of the mouse.  It doesn't seem like it would be extremely great for sweaty hands.

Love the Logitech M510 Mouse

I wish i had gotten this mouse forever ago!!! Before i had a regular corded mouse that came with the keyboard and have been having issues with the cord getting caught up and driving me crazy! Not anymore.. i got the mouse on Black Friday and am so happy with it. The size is perfect for my hand and so comfortable. It is very stylish and sleek. The buttons are super smooth and click very nicely. You can tell it is well made and going to last a long time. The usb it comes with is so small, so you can use it with a laptop if you wanted. Mine is for a desktop. There is nothing i would change about this mouse.I tried out several other brands at the store and this one felt the most comfortable. It is just the right size and ergonomic. So far i am very very happy with my purchase and will never use any other mouse again!! If you are in need of a new cordless mouse this is the mouse for you. I had read others reviews before and everyone gave it rave ratings!!

Quality mouse for those who spend a lot of time online.

Comparing my new Logitech M510 Mouse to my old, cheap wired one is hardly fair. The M510 rules. But even comparing it to other wireless mice in a similar price bracket, the M510 is far and away better than any of the other mice I tried while hunting for the "perfect mouse." The first thing that struck me about this mouse was the size. So many mice, in the name of compactness, are so short that they look like they were made for kids. The longer body of the Logitech M510 Mouse, combined with its nicely contoured shape, keeps your hand from cramping. Which is important if you use a mouse for hours daily. The mouse boasts a "high performance laser" and it isn't kidding. At the moment I'm typing outside on a rough wooden picnic table and the mouse didn't skip a beat. I haven't used it long enough to verify it, but the battery (supposedly) lasts two years. The mini USB receiver, side to side scroller and back and forward buttons are added pluses, making the Logitech M510 a quality purchase.

Logitech M510-- now this is how a mouse is supposed to feel!

5

Being a longtime PC user, I've gone through a couple of computer mice in my time. I have to say out of all the mice that I've used, the Logitech M510 has to be the best one. It costs a pretty penny compared to your average budget mice, but it's worth it. It's got such a sturdy feel and a heft to it that you know you're getting what you paid for. First off, this is a wireless mouse. It is also my first time using one (wireless full sized, not wireless laptop sized). You need two double A (AA) batteries to power this product. It comes with a power button, and a reset button. It also has a dongle that you plug into your computer for it to recognize the motions. It comes with four (4) buttons: your basic left and right clicker, and a forward and backwards button, as well as a wheel (but that's not a button!). The features that I *liked* about this mouse was that you can customize what the buttons you want to do with the software from Logitech. You can also have settings for when you play games, or when you're plain surfing.  - The wheel of the M510 is pretty interesting as well, as you can go forward and backwards by just "clicking" the wheel to the left or the right. However you have to have it set in the Logitech control panel for that to work. - The dedicated back and forward buttons are placed just in the right place, for people with big and small hands, you will be able to strike those buttons with ease. Other features that I enjoyed about this mouse was that it: - Has two side grooves for your hand to rest when using the mouse. - Doesn't have an obvious laser like other mice (who needs a pointer when you can use a mouse?). - Runs for a pretty long time on two (2) AA batteries (great if you're using rechargeable batteries). - Has a little battery indicator on the mouse below the click wheel. With the Logitech software installed, it will tell you the exact battery percentage that your mouse is at. Of course not every product is perfect, and so here is a list of things *I didn't like* with the M510: - It's hefty! It's nice, however if you're hauling your laptop around, you don't need the additional weight. - The USB transceiver is bulky. I put it on a USB hub so it's more or so out of sight, out of mind. However if you were like me, you had to deal with this huge stick protruding from the side of your laptop until you bought another peripheral to solve that problem. All in all, the pros outweighed the cons, and it is a definite buy if you're looking for a quality mouse to use.
