Purchased the Logitech LS21 2.1 Stereo Speaker System for my wife back in February of 2010. She needed a decent set of speakers for her laptop and the LS21 seemed to provide a good mix in terms of price and offering. The GOOD: First impression of the LS21 was good as it has a quirky modern design, and the wife thought the small speakers were "cute." Setup was extremely easy and was all plug and play. The speakers themselves are light and compact. There is an auxiliary input jack that allows for the use of headphones as well as the flexibility of plugging in mp3 players (I use my cellphone to play music since I have a library of music on the internal microsdhc). The BAD: Construction is cheap and plasticky. The subwoofer is a little too large and cumbersome. The LS21 suffers from one critical flaw - the speakers are not loud at all. Even with the speaker volume cranked up to max on the computer control panel, sound quality is feeble. Mids and highs are not clear and crisp and there is a loss of fidelity. Bass is not tight and deep. All in all, sound quality is bad which is fatally condemning since these things are speakers. Gets 2 out of 10 from me.
