Not the greatest work from Logitech, but I have seen far worse from other brands. If you need a cheap wireless though and if it's for casual use, maybe something like you want a cordless mouse at the office, then this a mouse to get. Now at work with some shady people who occasionally take things home that does not belong to them, I would never leave a corless (or corded) high quality mouse. This is not one of those so I do not see why anyone would really be tempted to take the LX8. But that is exactly what i mean: this is a decent cordleses mouse that does not impose any significant risk or loss in the event that it goes missing. It is not expensive to replace and you don't lose much in the even that the worst case scenario happens (either its missing or it breaks). it works.

I bought this mouse when I got tired of wires getting stuck in the recliner couch when I used my laptop.  I wanted a full-size mouse and not one specifically for laptops.  I looked at many different types and models of mice before I decided on the Logitech LX8 Cordless Laser Mouse.  I chose this one because of the great features that it has in conjunction with an affordable cost.  I also found that it had great reviews online and comes from a reputable brand.  The mouse that I have is black.  It has soft grips on the side.  It has an "almost" smooth scroll that tilts.  There is a "back" button on the left and a "forward" button on the right.  I think that you might be able to program the buttons to perform other functions.  I have a small hand and this mouse fits very comfortably in it.  I can reach the side buttons with ease, but they are out of the way enough that I am not hitting them on accident.  On the bottom, there are two buttons - one for power and the other to reset the mouse.  The mouse plugs into your computer via a small USB receiver.  Even though it is small, I wish that it was a little bit smaller because it sticks out further than my power cord.  The battery life on the mouse is fantastic.  I turn the mouse off after each use, and I find myself only replacing the two "AA" batteries about every 6-8 months.  That's not too bad, in my opinion, especially because I use the computer so much!  I do not find any "dead" spots or mouse jumps as you do with other mice.  I find the mouse to be very accurate and without lag.  I am really happy with my Logitech wireless mouse, and it sure beats using the trackpad on the laptop!

After only a few weeks of using my first laptop, I knew I was going to need a wireless mouse to go along with it.  I usually use my laptop at a desk space, either at home or at school.  The little touchpad just isn't convenient in these situations!  I have used the Logitech LX8 for over two years now and have never had a single complaint.  After using it on my laptop for a few months, I bought another one for my desktop.  The tracking is very smooth.  I can use it on any reasonable surface (nothing too shiny).  It's a good size that is easy to fit in my moderately large hands.  The mouse also has a good range.  I can control my computer from the other side of the room if I need to, which makes it easy to watch movies or things like that.  I have been extremely pleased with the battery life- 2 years of heavy use and I have only changed the batteries ONCE, and I never turn it off when I store it away.  This may not be typical, but it works for me!  I wish I had bought more of these when they were on sale so that when it finally goes out and I wouldn't have to shop for something new.

Batteries last about three to four months under heavy usage, much longer under lighter conditions. It is well constructed with rubberized side grips. Affordable, and comes in some colors, really love this mouse it is so enjoyable to use.

My husband and I own a design business together.  We need mice that are extremely accurate and responsive for the type of designing we do.  Both of us are on the computer at least 8 hours a day, so we also need a reliable, durable mouse.  To add to the list of requirements, my hands are very small, and most mice are apparently made for gigantic men.  Oh yeah, and it has to be cordless...and laser, not optical.  Before I found the Logitech LX8, I was completely exasperated.  Between the two of us, we had purchased nearly everything available, including several really expensive products.  I was wearing out a mouse about every 4 months, they were a pain in the neck to use, as well as being extremely uncomfortable.  I bought the LX8 as a last resort, and have been THRILLED.  It is absolutely perfect for me!  It took me 2 years to wear out the first one, and I bought another as a replacement last week.  I did not even consider any other product.  This little mouse is so well made, so comfortable, the battery lasts forever...I cant say enough nice things about it!  I will keep buying this mouse until it is discontinued!
