Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse

5

The Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse is a great mouse! I love that it is an optical mouse because there is no need to take it apart to clean the ball or the track part for the ball. The Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse is cordless, but it comes with a long USB cord. When I had a desktop I used this cord, and the little USB part of the mouse plugs into this cord. I kept this sitting on my desk near my keyboard. Now that I have a laptop I never use the long USB cord, I just use the USB like you would for any other wireless mouse for a laptop. I love the buttons on the top (used for going forward or back on a website). I use these buttons all the time! They are very handy, but took me a while to get used to at first. The mouse has a great battery life, I never turn my mouse off and I use the cheapest batteries you can get. The mouse lasts me months at a time. The low battery light will come on (flashes red to warn you batteries are getting low) but the mouse still works perfectly. I have used the mouse with the low battery light on for close to two months before. The Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse is a great mouse that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for quality, but not looking to spend too much money.

I have had this mouse over two years.  It does use batteries but much less than the ones that my company uses for work.  I have never had any problems with this one except batteries.  It is very simple to install and the only rule to follow is that you have to have it installed and then restart the computer.

GREAT PRODUCT

4

I have been using this mouse for several months now. it has been working great, and is comfortable and easy to use. It also fits well in the curve of my palm so i can use it for hours. it is also great that it is wireless, because it makes it easier to move around in all directions. however if you have children around who like to play with things and hide them you dont want to lose your mouse.

***Quick View:*** I am not an expert on computer accessories so this review won't be too technical. However, I can tell you that this is the best mouse I have used. It works great and frees me from the cords and the ball on the bottom that slows me down. It also feels great in my hand.***About the Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse*** This silver mouse runs on two AA batteries. It is compatible with both Windows and MAC operating systems but I am not sure if it is supported by Windows Vista. The mouse comes with software but a friend with the same mouse said he didn't install his and the mouse works fine. I installed mine. This works with both desktops and notebooks. In the box is the mouse, a wireless mini-receiver, a USB extension stand, a CD with Logitech SetPoint software, an installation guide, a USB to PS/2 adapter, and two batteries. You will need nothing whatsoever other than what is in the box. Once the software is installed, you are ready to roll. The mouse tracks and points exceptionally well and has great rubber grips on the side for easy handling. The device itself is ergonomically designed and doesn't strain my hand, even after hours of use. There are several features to this mouse. There are universal forward and back buttons, side to side scrolling with zoom, a tilt wheel plus zoom, and smart power management. Do I know what any of that is? Heck no. I know I go where I want to go, see what I want to see, and never have a problem with the mouse. When the batteries are running low, the mouse starts to skip and I know it's time to replace them. The mouse runs a long time on two AA batteries and I don't find myself replacing them often at all. ***My Viewpoint*** This mouse is excellent on every level. I can point it from almost anywhere around my desk and it will work. I have had mine for several months. My son just bought one for himself and he loves it. It's an efficient, excellent mouse that's easy on the hand. ***5 stars.***

The Logitech LX7 wireless mouse is a great buy. I searched for some time for a quality wireless mouse that wouldn't break the bank. I picked up the Logitech online for cheap, and I've been more than satisfied. The best thing about this mouse is the invisible laser tracking light. Rather than the bright red light that most optical mice use, this uses a faint red light that's barely visible. It doesn't hurt the mouse's functionality at all, and it makes the batteries last forever. The mouse's tracking is very accurate. I do occasional graphics editing, and it's not hard at all to move a pixel at a time. I use this mouse daily at school for probably seven or eight straight hours per day. I replace my batteries twice a year. My wife's ordinary optical mouse (bright red light) goes through batteries every few weeks. The only negative about this mouse is that the USB receiver is kind of large (about the size of a USB thumb drive). I've been worried once or twice that I was going to accidentally break it off because it sticks out so far from the side of my computer. Overall, I give this mouse an easy five out of five. A fine computer accessory.

Long Lasting Mouse

I use this mouse for my desktop. It hasn't broken for years and still works fine. The design is fine, the price is cheap and affordable. The best thing about it is it's durability. I mean, the batteries can die easy, but I use those rechargeable batteries. Furthermore, it hasn't broken for about 7 years now? I would change it, but my parents are the one that's using the desktop so if they're not complaning it'll stay as it is. Personally, I use a different mouse. The cordless system is superb, it's ergonomic and the 5 buttons help increase browsing speed for my parents who are computer illiterate. It's not too fast or too slow in terms of tracking pace. Logitech indeed makes the best mouses for computers. All the mouse I've owned and my family owns, are all from logitech. Now that I have a baby brother, the mouse is getting more banged up than it used to be. I wouldn't be surprised that it'll be broken anytime soon because of my little brother. But I definitely recommend this to anyone who just wants to browse. Not desgined for gaming though.

It's a cordless optical mouse but it has a cord?

Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse **What is it?The Cordless Optical Mouse by Logitech** is a computer mouse for laptops and PC's.  Instead of having a cord getting in the way or helping to clutter your desk, a cordless mouse doesn't have one.  Also, it doesn't have that little ball inside the mouse that you would have to take out and clean occassionally, it's optical.  There is a device (I'm not exactly sure what it is called) but it plugs into your USB port and has a loooong cord with a small box that the mouse gets signals from.  You plug it into your computer and you are ready to use your mouse.  The mouse itself has a high quality scroll wheel which is fast and the optical is very accurate. **My Viewpoint!**Ok...I go through alot of cordless mouses (mice?).  I think I need to start buying them in bulk, actually.  Since I am a laptop user and I tote my laptop everywhere, I tend to bend or break the USB attachments or continously drop the mouse until it doesn't work anymore.  I received the **Cordless Optical Mouse by Logitech** as a Christmas gift from my husband.  I was excited since my last one had just broke and I was back to using the dreaded touch pad on my laptop.  When I opened the box, I was confused.  **There was a cord!**  I have never had a cordless mouse with a cord!  Granted the cord is attached to the homing device (for lack of a better word) and not the actual mouse but I want **CORDLESS**!  My previous mouses (mice - what in the word do you call them when using it in the plural sense?) never had a cord.  They just had a little plug that stuck out of my USB port and that was it. So, it was a gift from my darling Husband and since he did such a great job on the rest of my gifts (see my Sony Handycam review), I didn't want to take it back and I wanted a mouse!  Well, it's January 8th, so about 2 weeks after Christmas and the mouse is in my computer bag not being used. :(  It's a pain.  I got that long cord getting in my way everytime I try to move the computer and frankly, it's easier using my touchpad. So, now I am on the hunt for a durable, **CORDLESS** optical mouse that can withstand constant movement, children and dropping on hardwood floors.  Any recommendations?

No cord restriction with a Logitec cordless mouse.

Having recently purchased a Logitec cordless mouse, I was pleased with how well it works. No more cord to get in the way. There is way to many wires connected to your computer and with the Logitec cordless mouse, you eliminate one. It has a range of at least 5 feet. I have had no need to try it any farther. You do not need to use a mouse pad. It works on almost any surface. It was very reasonably priced, if you shop around. I purchased mine, brand new, on Ebay. Logitec also makes a cordless keyboard and I am going to investigate that next.

Easy Scrolling

4

I never knew how much I needed a mouse product until I tried the **Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse**, it is amazing.  I have a laptop computer so usually use the touchpad, but I was ready for easier navigating and this mouse is the answer.  The mouse just connects to your USB cord but there is no cord.  There is a docking station that you plug in so that you can use the mouse from far away and you don't even need a pad to roll it on.  The installation is easy and it comes with the two AA batteries and is ready to go.  I love how easy it is to scroll up and down and scan pages.  It also has a magnifyer option to zoom in and out.  This is essential for those who love to browse the web or have lots of work to do at home on the computer.  I am really happy with this product, and the price is a real winner too.

Best money I spent on a mouse

4

The Logitech cordless optical mouse works great with my laptop. If you don't have a USB port for your mouse it also comes with a PS2 to USB adapter. There is also an optional base stand for your USB plug if you do not want to plug it straight into your computer .The Logitech cordless optical mouse is a good buy and well worth the money you spend.
