Logitech - Harmony One Remote — 

Perhaps I am alone in expecting to get what you pay for (although i got mine free) but I really wasnt impressed. You can get quality universal remotes for MUCH cheaper and still downsize to one remote.  Especially if you have (in my opinion) 3 or less remotes.  The price seems to be geared more towards people who have infrared EVERYTHING.  I got it for free and i still dont want to keep the thing.

i got mine set up and it was working great, and I was only kind of digging it.  But that luke warm affection didnt last long.  Over the course of about 3 days slowly but surly the functions seemed to unprogram themselves.  To try and briefly explain, to turn on my "watch tv" setup was this:

turned on cable box
turned tv on
set it to hdmi


After working fine for about a week it started turning the setting to various different tuner options instead of hdmi, like component 1 or video 3.

Then it didnt turn the tuner at all

Next it didnt turn the tv on or change tuner

Lastly it also quit turning on the cable box, so none of the original fucntions that were still all correct in the setup.

Also, it took a lot longer to get to normally one touch menu's on my regular cable box remote.

You also have to sit there and point the remote at the tv for a looong time in comparison to my nornal cable box remote or it screws up the turning on seqeuence and you have to be pointing it DIRECTLY at the tv for it to work, where as you can point my cable box remote just about anywhere and it will still work.

My last complaint, is the fact that they made a remote *especially a touch screen* GLOSSY so no matter how many time you wipe it down with the little rag they give you, its always fully of smudges.
