As a Bzz Agent (check out their website by Googling it since I can't post the link here), I was so happy to sign up for this campaign.

I received a Logitech Harmony One universal remote to use and review. We've tried universal remotes before with limited success. I wasn't really looking forward to using this one. I didn't think it would work.

Logitech Harmony One will control everything. I mean it. It will control your tv, satellite dish, cable box, stereo, home theatre system, game systems...any infrared controlled device!

You set up the remote by plugging in a cable to the remote and to your computer. Pop in the included disk and answer some questions on the screen. This took me a while, since I wasn't confident about answering some of the questions. I did run into one problem but finding the answer and resolving it was pretty quick and very easy. If I can do it, so can you!

The first thing I noticed is how sleek the remote is. The remote also has a one touch, activity based feature. It has a full color screen! To watch tv, you just press the button that says "watch tv" and your tv and your satellite or cable box comes on.

You can program the remote with all of your favorite tv channels. So far I've only programmed two pages worth but the remote will hold up to four. We have satellite tv and an onscreen guide but it's SO much easier just pressing the logo for, say, HGTV, than scrolling endlessly through the onscreen tv guide!

Before we received the Harmony One, if we wanted to watch a DVD, we had to jump through hoops. First, find the DVD remote. Turn DVD player on. Wait for it to cycle through, open up the drawer, pop the DVD in. Turn on the TV. Cycle through the TV until the DVD player screen comes on the TV screen. Then press play. Yuck!

With the Harmony One, just press the button "Watch a DVD"! The Harmony One turns on your tv, your DVD player AND your home theatre system! No cycling through the TV presets. It's quick and easy.

The Harmony One keeps track of whether the devices are on or off so you can go from playing a video game to watching your DVR or DVD without any hassle.

Watching TV and your remote won't change the channel because the batteries just died? Not a problem with the Harmony One. The Harmony One uses rechargeable batteries, which recharge in it's own sleek base. The buttons on the remote are backlit and the functions are separated so you can easily find the volume or the play buttons. The back of the remote has a smooth, non slip coating which feels really soft. When you place the remote down, the full color screen goes into screen saver mode after a minute or two. Pick the remote up, and your screen comes back on without ever pushing a button. This feature saves on battery power but I really like it because when I'm channel surfing, I don't have to push a button to see the screen again - just touch the remote and the screen instantly lights up. I guess you could say that not only is the screen touch sensitive, the entire remote is.

We moved our game system downstairs but now that we have the Logitech Harmony One universal remote, I want to move it back upstairs. Actually, I want to program the remote to work with everything I can find in our house! It is that easy to use!
