Logitech Harmony 880 LCD Remote Control Review

Here's another good remote from Logitech. All of their remotes are computer compatible and are very easy to set up. Logitech has a good reputation for a solid product and it shows in this remote. I purchased the Logitech Harmony 880 LCD Remote Control to help my family with "control clutter", in particular all of the numerous remotes for the electronic stuff we have. There's a remote for the tv, dvd, vcr,  (yes, we still have one of those), tuner, cd player and satellite controller.

The set up is simple and intuitive. It is truly seamless if you have the serial numbers for each of your products, unfortunately I didn't have all the serial numbers I needed but I was still able to determine the ones I did have with the help of Logitech's programming on the computer. Every time I set up one of these "universals" I am always amazed that one small remote can be used for all of my products, and that it works. The Harmony's screen is very helpful for all the tv watchers in our family, since there is a small color picture and a tiny description/dialogue for each activity. There is also a help button that really does help you figure out what is wrong. It is pretty much fool proof!

Probably the best thing about the Logitech is that it can be updated if you need to change equipment or decide to upgrade a component. You can also upgrade the remote's internal information by downloading updates from the internet. I would recommend this product if you have a complex system or even a simple one. It can handle both with ease.
