We bought this camera to replace our vga cam on a netbook. It was a decent price (although a bit on the high end for what it does), but has a great picture. However, using it with the different video chat programs has yielded great results. It has a clear, crisp picture, and the mic picks up sounds really well, without out overloading them with background noise. The stand is not the best. It does not clip onto our monitor very well (the top is a slight angle/bezel shape), so the most stable part has it hanging over the monitor about 1/4 inch. However, with it just standing at the base of the monitor, it seems to do well. The other problem is that the cord seems heavier than the actual camera, so if the cord is hanging down below the monitor, it will pull the camera that direction, giving it a less than level position. For the price and quality, I would recommend this product. It is well built, and does its intended job better than expected.

I purchased this product for my 14 year old daughter for her birthday.  My husband and I shopped around and spoke with friends and retailers.  We ultimately decided upon the Logitech C260 Webcam and are extremely satisfied with the decision.  It was very easy to install and use with Skype immediately.  The CD that came with the purchase did not have to be installed with the webcam, however if you want full use of the webcam capabilities it is a good idea to install.  The installation process for this was very easy as well.  My daughter uses her Logitech C260 webcam almost every day either by Skyping, recording videos, taking pictures and posting videos to her favorite social networks (such as Facebook).   We also are pleased that we purchased a mobile webcam instead of a built-in webcam because our daughter enjoys using it on both our PC and laptop.  She can go in her room and sing to a video without the embarrassment of her parents and brother watching her!  I would recommend this product to family and friends.
