Not your average keyboard

I thought a keyboard was a keyboard, and then I tried this out. It looks so cool how it is backlit, it really is something to see. It is also ergonomically designed to make the act of typing easier on your forearms and wrists. It has been durable and works as good today as it did when I got it.

The keys feel comfortable to press, and the illumination is nice and fun. Performance The keyboard works just fine. All the keys work, the lights work, so on so forth. Durability I've use my keyboard for hours at a time, and so far it has lasted me the whole year without any noticeable damage to it. Design I just think the keyboard looks cool.

Best keyboard ever owned.

Illumination is the big plus for this keyboard. No more having to turn on lights when using my computer. It also has plenty of shortcut keys and you get adjust the illumination in different ways. Very responsive and a great looking keyboard round out this very useful computer peripheral. Performance Does everything it says it does.

I brought it when it had a discounted price, and so far it has been worth it, much better than my old keyboard from hp. Looks very nice and is extremely thin. No problems typing so far and the lighting is what I expected. It weighs more than I expected it, but it does not really affect it as it is on your desk most of the time. Even if you are planning to bring it around it is still light enough. It is also less bulky and takes up less room while still having a full keyboard. Felt natural to me when I first used it with no or little need to adjust, but this really depends on the person or the keyboard you had before. The keys have a nice feel to it and is relatively silent. I really love the num/cap/scroll lock icon that light up when you turn them on, when they are off you can't see them (unless you really look closely). Overall it was what i expected, a great deal for the price I got it at and it feels very solid and well made. It was a perfect addition to my setup. The clear plastic around the keyboard really gives it a nice touch. Edit: There is a problem I found after using it for a while, though it mostly affect gamers. The key combination shift-w-space does not work on this keyboard despite it being pretty common in many games. It is a small disadvantage as letting go of w will avoid the problem but it is a notable problem.

Logitech illuminated keyboard - one of the best I own

This is a professional looking keyboard by Logitech. It is simple, thin, and elegant looking, and not to mention it has white lights coming from the bottom. It has all the basic function keys, and the level of brightness of the lights underneath the keyboard can be altered into 4 different levels (bright, average, dim, and none). There is also a thin rim of transparent plastic around the whole thing, which may be hard to see on an image, but it certainly adds to the stylish look. I have used it for a year and a half, and everything is still working fine. Also great for office use. This keyboard may not suit everyone because it has a shallow key press, feels like typing on a laptop keyboard. If you are not a fan of shallow keystrokes, this may not be for you. The typing is indeed very smooth if you like laptop typing.  I got this while it was on promotion, so it was a very decent piece of electronics at the mid-price range.

Logitech service is tops! K800 is a fantastic keyboard

The touch to this keyboard is unbelievable. I can type again with my dwindling use of my hands. The lighting feature is great for light sensitive folks like me. I have about 10 pages to post on this topic, but I had originally had a negative view that might have appeared here. My experience with Logitech and the actual use of the product has be superb. Performance Excellent technology on touch. I have had no problems with the illumination, contrary to the whiners on other review sites. Durability I have had problems, but I appear unique according to Google. I have had issues with some keys. Logitech has excelled in customer service and has gone beyond any manufacturer or retailer by sending me the last couple without having to return the broken ones. I believe the problem to be with the new technology used for the 'special touch'. It has been wonderful as long as the keys behave. All new technology goes thru growing pains. For the first time in my life, I'm happy to pay a higher price now for the prototypes to help work toward a more solid keyboard with these features. Again, I have not found anyone else with the same problems I've had. The only negative reviews are about the life of the battery - which is a worldwide struggle in the electronics industry, not Logitech specific. Design Nice look, great touch. They never met this idiot when it came 'pre-programed' with some idiot proof keys. I just want to type, not go to Facebook or whatever, while playing a game. It's the industry standard though -- but some conveniences are really just the opposite. Comfort Superb

great illuminated keyboard

This is a wonderful device and I am curious why other keyboard manufacturers are not jumping on this concept. The concept of illuminating the keys is a very innovative feature that should be a part of more keyboard sets. The fact is that many of us work in dim light conditions whether that is by necessity or whether we prefer it. For example you may share a room with a roommate in your roommate may be sleeping. In this case, it would be polite to turn off the lights. However in the dark it is not so easy to type. That problem is solved however if you have an illuminated keyboard. Also, you may just be living alone and there maybe nobody with you but you may still prefer to have just a small lamp in the corner of the room providing ambient lighting. In this case the illuminated keyboard goes a long way to help you type. I am really digging this keyboard.

This is the keyboard that I am typing this review out on. In the dark. Cause it lights up. The keys are easy to press, with an action that is kind of like a keyboard's, with only a very small distance needed for the key to accept your push. This may speed up typing for some people, but most won't notice it. The backlighting allows people to type in the dark, and I think it could even help blind-typers find the "home keys". For semi-hunt and peck typers like me, a lighted keyboard is a lifesaver at night when my roommate is asleep. 4 light settings allow you to adjust it for your own preference as well. The only downside I have found so far is that after a year and a half of usage, the clear plastic lining the dies has started coming a little loose near the bottom of the keyboard. only around 2 cm though, and I don't think I have anything to worry about. 4/5

I would recommend this keyboard

Been a fan of logitech's input devices (keyboard/mouse) for a while, acquired the keyboard at the local bestbuy ever since it debuted. Before this keyboard, I have used a couple of dinovos (Dinovo Edge and the Dinovo for notebook), isn't quite satisfied with the intermittent lag just because they're wireless. After switching to the illuminated keyboard, my life couldn't be happier. The brightness on the keyboard is adjustable, very smooth and easy on your eye in the dark. The keyboard is very compact in size, it does not take too much of the space of your desk. It features scissor-switched keys which are firm and makes the overall profile to be slim and thin. This keyboard has a problem of warping after extended usage. (Just google for it) The feet are also not as sturdy, right now both of my feet on the bottom are gone, the keyboard cannot hold to its place if you provide too much of the forward force to it. Overall I would still recommend this keyboard, it looks very stylish especially at night.

AMAZING KEYBOARD

I have to say the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard is one of the finest keyboards I have ever used. It is thin and stylish and fairly light. The illuminated keys are great because of the white backlight. This keyboard lets you adjust the brightnest of the keys, which is a nice addition. The keys are more of a laptop style keyboard. So if you're not a fan of laptop style keyboards don't buy this. At first I thought this was a negative to this keyboard, but eventually I got used to it. This keyboard does get dirty a lot because of the material it is made out of. The palm rest is a rubbery like texture that attracts sweat, dirt, and dust. This can all be cleaned with a soft cloth using water. The plastic bezel around the keyboard also makes it look like, but may look cheap to others. The dedicated keys for computer tasks is superb because of its functionality. Another con to this keyboard is the thin line of plastic right above the palm rest. This plastic eventually rips off and makes the keyboard look un-professional and bad.
