Okay, The Legends, Kansas Speedway, Super Wal-mart, Schliterbahn, Great Wolf Lodge, and Cabelas, they are all part of new developments going on in Kansas City, Kansas. What do you think will be next?

This city has went from plain ole Kansas rolling plains to bright lights and plenty of entertainment. Pros and cons of a casino are now being played out. So, what do you think could go in next? What does the future of Wyandotte County hold? I've been here for ten years, property values and everything are going up! Job increases are a major thing that is much needed in this low-income county. Anyone else?

I would love to see the Wizards build over there. I haven't been able to catch the news lately to hear if that's been thwarted or not.

A casino wouldn't be a bad idea, if they get it right. The current Hollywood them is just lame. When they originally planned for the race track theme, it was a "duh" moment. They need to really consider their audience here - do they really think people are giong to come for a Hollywood theme?

Maybe they should also build a KS version of the Sprint Center to replace the aging Verizon Wireless/Sandstone Amphitheatre in Bonner Springs - build it in half the time AND get a tenant? Can we say AWESOME?! Okay, so I'm just dreaming now.

I do think that the Legands area really is just blooming into something amazing. It's giving hope to KCK!

I should mention that the speedway really bumped things up for Kansas. We went from something like 47th in the country in tourism to like 36th. I can never find the actual stats, but I remember reading it in the KC Star a few years ago.

I've been here for 10 years now and it has went from blah to sparkles! Although, we might be moving to Colorado this year, I am still excited to see what else goes in out there. I agree with the Hollywood theme, it's not really the best choice but whatever, it's a casino, right.

Not a bad idea about the KS version Sprint Center but then again the Sandstone Amphitheatre is pretty cool now that you can get really close to the stage but still sit if you want. I enjoyed the Summer Jam II concert I went there to see this summer, it was pretty neat.

Stats are pretty good, I know they're going to rise when Sclitterbahn opens the whole theme park in the spring. I'm so excited, I would love to come back and visit if I do move just to see the transformations!

Also, the new Wal-Mart at 435 and Parallel is AWESOME!! I've been there twice since they opened and I love it! It's so big and the aisle are so greatly spaced. But, they should have left the other one open, it made it harder for people with no transportation to get up there. Yeah, there's still a bus but it's 50 more blocks away! I was just down the street from the old one, now I have to travel a bit out of the way! Still love it!

I've never been to KS but it sounds like maybe they are working to bring more tourists and people to your state.  Good for you, Michigan seems to be going in the opposite direction with the amount of people going down :(

Maybe something big will be in the future for MIchigan?! Yeah. They are definetly working on bringing more people to Kansas. When I used to think of Kansas I would think of cows and rolling plains. Now, I think of exciting, entertaining things to do! Not to mention the new strip mall that went in at 18th Street Expressway and I-70. I used to live where the mall is now on the very end of it, 1605 Bunker Avenue, the house is now gone but it was in need of being destroyed!
