My son LOVES this little lawn mower!

5

My son received this little mower on his first birthday. He had just started walking so this was perfect timing. He is 18 months now and I don't think a day goes by that he doesn't push it around the house. He loves to watch his daddy mow the lawn. He will go get his little mower out and mimic daddy down to the little details of getting the gas can that came with the mower and filling the tank. He will also make a swish swish sound when filling the tank. When you pull the string it sounds like starting a real mower and the beads pop when you push. My lo has played countless hours with this mower. Sometimes he will even just sit on the floor and play with the on/off switch and will open and close the gas cap. He loves when you clap for him when he pulls the cord to "start" the mower. He will get so excited he starts running around with the mower laughing. It was a great gift. Very durable.

Perfect size lawn mower for a toddler

4

Great little toy for our 2 year old. She watches dad mow the lawn all the time and easily figured out how to imitate him with this lawn mower all around the living room. It's not obnoxiously loud like some toys are, and the starter is easy to pull. It doesn't feel cheap, but heavy duty and long lasting. The popping noise is a little bit annoying, but not terribly so. I've heard worse toys! The height of the handle bar is perfect for a one and a half year old up to at least three years old. It pushes easily on carpet too. I'm hoping to find these on sale again soon so that I can buy a few for gifts for my daughter's friends, I like it this much and Little Tikes is a very good, reliable brand for kids toys both indoor and outdoor ones. We have lots of Little Tike toys and have received excellent customer service from them whenever we encounter recalls or missing parts or anything like that.

My Toddler loves this mower!

My eighteen-month-old son loves his Little Tykes mower! It's just the perfect size for him, and it easy to push around. I like that it makes a real mower sound when you pull the cord, and I like that the cord is able to be pulled by a toddler (some are too tight). Also, it has little balls/beads that pop when you push it, which adds to the fun, and it has a working key/ignition. My favorite part, though, is that is comes with a detachable gas can so they can pretend to gas up the mower! My little boys loves to put gas in his mower, and now he's even started using the gas can to put gas in his Cozy Coupe! I also like that this mower is fairly inexpensive and can be found at most local retail outlets. Also, I like that it's a basic design with little to tear up or go wrong. (The bubble mowers, for instance, often don't "bubble" like they're supposed to and aren't as fun as they look on TV).

Looks and sounds real-luckily, it doesn't cut carpet!

My son got this lawnmower as a first birthday gift 9 months ago.  My parents gave it to him, as one of my father's favorite activities is lawn-mowing!  It has been a hit since the day he got it.  I was afraid it would be a short-lived toy, but 9 months later we are still going strong. The lawnmower has a removable oil can, key to turn, a realistic sounding starter, and little balls that pop when he pushes it.  They had planned on buying the bubble mower  but could not find it.  I am glad to have this one, as it does not make a mess in the house!  Even the older kids that play at our house (up to five) enjoy playing with this toy.  It gets pushed around all over the place!  The toy is made out of good quality plastic and has taken a beating since it came home.  I am sure it is not recommended but they even stand on it and it has held up to that type of abuse.  I would definitely recommend this toy!

Okay Mower- not the best ever

My toddler sons love mowing the lawn with their dad. We had another mower that we loved but I found this Little Tykes mower on sale so I bought it for my second son. They didn't want to share the first one. =) This mower is not loud if you use it outside. It comes with a gas can that stores on the back of the mower. You pull the start cord and it makes a realistic starting sound is is harder to pull making it seem like a real lawn mower. My boys love that. Recently, the cord loosened a little so it doesn't feel as much like a lawn mower in that way. There are two knobs for speed on the top of the mower. One of them popped off after about 1 week of use. We haven't found it. This mower was so cheap when I bought it, that we didn't care about the missing button. This mower is easy for toddlers to push unless they're in tall grass. It's easiest to push on freshly cut grass (not wet). The handle is a little flimsy- not as sturdy. I would recommend the Fisher-Price Bubble Mower. The wheels are great on that so it moves through anything!

Fun lawn mower toy, but crazy loud!

My son is just starting to walk so he hasn't used this toy very long. It is a good height for my son, though he's on the tall side. I am not sure if a shorter child would need to get a little taller to use it? The colors are very cute. I like that it has some yellow on it so it's easier to spot. I'd hate to accidentally run over it with the real mower in the yard. The main problem I have with it is that the sound is too loud! The sound level is just outrageous. It's loud enough to hear several rooms away, which seems ridiculous to me. I know real lawn mowers are loud, but toy lawn mowers don't need to be. Since my son hasn't had it long and isn't walking well yet anyway, we decided we were going to put it away and wait until summer so it can be an outside toy. Grandma and Grandpa had a good chuckle when they gave this to him, and now I understand why! If the loud sound doesn't bother you or if you're looking for an outside lawn mower toy, this is a great option.

My little guy loves this.

I bought this for my son for his second birthday.  He loves it.  The toys was very easy to put together.  There are very few parts.  This toy is safe for the very little ones to use.  My son loves the look of the lawnmower and the sounds that it makes.  I think that the sounds are a little bit too loud though.  The sounds are not songs, but noises that try to sound like a real lawnmower.  He loves to push the toy around and listen to and watch the balls pop.  That is the best part.  I wish that the toy was the kind of lawnmower that you could put bubbles into and watch the bubbles come out.  It is not though.  The looks of the toy are great.  It is green and comes with a little gas tank.  The price was good, because there was a buy one toy get one toy free deal going on, but if there was not then it would be priced a little bit too high.  I love this toy overall, because my son loves it.  I would buy it again.

My son loves this mower!

My son had another toddler lawn lower that we didn't like so we bought this one. It is a nice toy. It stands up on its own which is great for storage and for a little one starting to walk. My son loves the noises the gadgets make on the handle and sounds it makes when he pushes it around. He likes to pull the starter. It is cool that it comes with a separate gas can that he can carry around. Soon he will learn that he can pretend to put the gas in the mower, which also has a gas cap. He loves to push this mower around the house. I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because it doesn't seem to handle as well outside on the grass. My son had trouble pushing it on the lawn which we didn't run into with other mowers. Maybe our grass was just too long but...still. The mower came in just a few pieces and was easy to assemble. The price was reasonable and we have gotten our moneys worth already. I love seeing how happy this toy makes my son.
