So much fun!

When my son first became mobil, he started needing some different toys. I had purchased this sports center when my son was about 6 months old because I found it on sale and thought it looked really cute. I knew that he wouldn't be using it for a little while, so I thought that I would put it away and maybe get it out for his first birthday. Well, by 9 months it seemed like he wanted some toys with something different to offer. That's when I pulled out the sports center. He took to it right away. He does not care about the football part. As far as I am concerned that is more or less decorative. He sort of cares about the baseball part, but he wouldn't care if that part went missing, maybe when he's walking he'll like that part better. He absolutely LOVES the basketball part though. He will dunk the basketball for 10 minutes at a time so delighted with the cheers each time. He occassionally gets a little carried away and we have to find the basketballs from however far away he has thrown them. This toy has brought my son a lot of enjoyment.

Little Tikes 3-in-1 sport center was boring!

We thought it looked like this was going to be such a fun toy for our son with all the things it had to offer! Our then 5 year old daughter picked it out for him and was so proud of picking the best looking toy ever!! The throwing little basket balls through the hoop and hearing it make a bunch of noise and watching it light up did entertain him for a little bit but the rest of it really didn't do much for him. When children are at the age that they are interested in this toy, they have a hard time cordinating how to hold the bat and actually hit the ball, you get to do that fo rthem, over and over. The foot ball part he never really even tried to play with! The hole for the basket balls does fit and nearly fit many other objects like little people, match box cars and other small toys that would get stuck along the way if you put them through the back hole instead of the basket ball hoop! The final down side of this toy is that it takes up way more space than it merits in fun play value.

cute but kids aren't loving it

Little Tikes is a great brand and when I had my son after having a girl this was one of the first toys I bought. A "boy" toy! It is very cute with all 3 sports and I thought the kid's would enjoy it. This being said the kids just really aren't loving it at all. They are mildly amused with the basketball hoop and that is it. The football has def. never been played with and the baseball just barely. My little guy is just learning to stand and he does like to stand on it but even that isn't the best. The thing isn't sturdy enough for a child just learning to stand to not pull the whole thing over on top of himself. Overall I think this is a cute toy, and I am glad I bought it second hand and didn't pay full price because I think it may be finding its way out of the house shortly (and really we just put it in a month ago or so). I would think twice before purchasing this toy again. Lots of other toys out there that provide more entertainment and education.

My kids love this!

I bought this toy for my 1 year old son. He and his 3 year old sister both LOVE to play with this toy! It was easy for my son to figure out and only took him a little while to discover the fun little tricks with this toy. There are two holes that you can put the little basketball through - the hoop and another hole that makes the ball disappear and reappear below - my son loved that! Music plays when you make a basket and there is a scoreboard too which is a fun feature. The football is fun, but really more suited for a baby a little younger than one - my son likes bells and whistles now, he's past the rattle stage for the most part, though he will spin it around once in a while. I just wish they had made the tee ball a little more fun - maybe with some flashing lights of its own or something. But still, this is a great toy and was more than worth every penny. I have bought this another one year old as well!

A good toy for those just starting to stand on their own

The Little Tikes Little Champs Sports Center has been a good addition to our toy collection.  My older son received it for Christmas shortly after turning one.  It was his most played with toy for quite some time.  He enjoyed it again when we brought it back out for his younger brother. The Sports Center does take up a little floor space, but we found it to be worth it.  It is at an appropriate height to be played with seated or standing.  It is sturdy enough to allow a little one just learning to stand on his own to use it for support. We found the basketball hoop to be, by far, the most popular part of the toy.  Both boys loved putting the balls (it comes with two) through the hoop.  You can turn it on for cheers after a score.  There is also a light up scoreboard which counts the baskets made up to ten.  The base catches the balls so they don't go rolling all over the house.  The small plastic baseball bat can be stored in the basketball hoop when not in use.  It is designed to hit the attached baseball around in a circle.  In our house it was more often used separately for batting balls golf style around the floor.  The football is a spinner with balls inside for a rattle sounds.

Little Tikes Little Champs Sports Center was not a hit

We bought the Little Tikes Little Champs Sports Center after we saw it at my son's daycare.  We had been looking for a basketball toy for our son and figured if the daycare had one it must be a great toy.  And we also thought since it had baseball and football portion to this toy, it would be even more fun.  Unfortunately after we had bought it and set it up, we realized that those extra sections were virtually useless.  The football portion was nothing more than a rattle that spins and the baseball part is short and hard to spin.  Also, my son is now ten months old and just starting to stand.  He is constantly pulling on things to get himself off the ground and into a standing position.  This sports center is very lightweight and tips over easily when he pulls on it and then it falls on top of him.  He does like to put the ball in the hoop and spin on the football rattle so the toy is not a total loss.  A simplier basketball toy would've probably been just as fun for him, and less expensive.

Cute not great

I honestly was really excited about this toy when we got it. I love most of our little tikes stuff and thought this would be no exception. To me there is just not much to it. It says the same things over and over and  I assure you it will and does get very annoying very quickly. We got tired of the basketball sounds pretty quickly. The football is just a glorified rattle and I have yet to have an infant who was even remotely interested in it. Quite honestly we recently got rid of this because everyone always seems to pass it over for another toy. Which is fine with me because like I said the basketball sounds got old quickly!! I would look elsewhere before buying it. I am sure others have had better experiences with it but we have been foster parents for three years and have had 7 children under the age of 18 months and out of those 7 children we have had ONE child that really seemed to like this toy.

Such a great toy for my one year old!

My son got this for his first birthday about 2 weeks ago and it was the biggest hit of all his gifts!  This toy does require assembly but it's soooo easy to put together!  I didn't even have to read the instructions - everything just snaps into place and can also be taken apart easily as well (that's not always the case with a lot of toys that "snap" together).  My son loves that the toy makes noise every time he puts the ball in the basket.  And I love that it's not really loud either. I think Little Tikes actually thought of the parents when designing this toy as well because it isn't an annoying noise.  He hasn't quite figured out the baseball part and to hit it with the bat, but he loves the football side because it's like a rattle.  One of the best toys we have!
