Little Tikes Classic Table and Chairs Set Review

If you are familiar with little tikes products, then you know what a terrific brand it is.  Every little tikes toy and furniture item that my children have had, has withstood beyond-normal wear and tear from my two very rambunctious kids.  This includes the little tikes Classic Table and Chairs set that my children have had for several years.  This table and chairs set was given to them so it has definitely gotten a lot of use through the years.

Uses:  My children have used the table for many purposes including eating, playing games, doing homework, coloring, and making arts and crafts.  The table mostly remains indoors but it can also be used outside.  The chairs have been used throughout our home and also come in handy for outdoor events.  They are small enough that they can be put inside our minivan to take to concerts, fireworks, and picnics. 

Age Recommendation:  Per the little tikes website, the recommended age for this product is from 2-6 years.  My children are ages four and five and still use this daily.

Cleaning:  The table and chairs are very easy to clean and one swipe of a soapy dish rag usually does the trick.  I like that there aren't a lot of little nooks and crannies where dirt and food can get trapped and remain forever.  A little more elbow grease is required to clean crayon but I've found that the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser always does the trick.

Material:  The table and chairs are made out of a sturdy, lightweight, plastic material.  My kids have stood on them (not recommended!), thrown them (naughty little buggers!), and dragged them all over our home and yard and they have all withstood the wear and tear.  I really believe that this material is made to last forever.  The only thing that keeps the material from looking new is that it will fade in the sun if left outside for a long period of time.

Price:  Brand new, a table and set of two chairs will set you back about $50 regular retail.  If you hold out for a sale, they can be had for $40 or less.  Even better, keep an eye out for a used set at a garage sale or online and you could score a deal.  

My Viewpoint:  If you have small children who need their own table space, you can't go wrong with the little tikes Classic Table and Chairs Set.  It's a high-quality, durable product that any child would love.
