My parents got this as a hand me down for my daughter and my first impression was okay its just a horse. Then before my daughter was even able to walk, she crawled right over to the horse and got herself on it. She wasnt sure how to make it rock at first, but with a little help she learned in no time. She did fall off several times, but she just kind of slid off and the horse is so low to the ground that she didn't have far to fall! This toy is a family favorite. My 15 month old son loves it. It was my little sisters from 8 years ago and its still in great shape! Definetely a toy worth buying.  My son will smile when he rocks back and forth. He has never had any injuries from this toy. We use it inside but it can also be used outside.
