Effective Without Side Effects on Children!

By

from USA

Comments about Little Remedies Little Colds Honey Elixir:

Product tasted a bit like honey and herbal good stuff. It went down without a fight with the children. It helped them sleep more restfully without the nagging cough. It would be good to buy with a coupon since the price varies from store to store. I have been buying this company's products for over twenty years and am using it on my grand-children now. It is a relief to use with our children because it does not have such a strong flavor and it will not make the gag towards the end either. Some of the children liked Little Colds so much that they pretended that they had a cold and brought the bottle straight to me. As a responsible adult, you must remember that this is medicinal and should be monitored around children since it does have great taste; you would not want them to overdose or think that all medicines are always nice to drink at will. So be careful. I would use it again and refer others to do so too!

Just honey- but does wonders!

By

from Erie, PA

Comments about Little Remedies Little Colds Honey Elixir:

I am quite aware that this is basically just expensive honey with a few other ingredients to make it smoother, but I still love it. I had my husband pick up a bunch of stuff for my 2 year old son because he had a bad cold. I was desperate to find something to make him feel better because the poor thing was just so miserable. So, he picked up this, and my son absolutely loved his "medicine" when he woke up and before bed, and if he felt extra icky. It tastes just like honey, but it is a little smoother, so I believe its easier to sip, and a tad less sticky than the original stuff. I may or may not buy again, knowing now that its just basically honey. But I may, just because anything to make things even slightly easier on me and my son when he's sick is worth the few extra bucks.

Little Remedies Honey Elixir Works and Tastes Great

By

from Houston, TX

Comments about Little Remedies Little Colds Honey Elixir:

Kids have their bouts of sickness just like adults do and, more often than not, they have a more difficult time dealing with the experience and require more immediate attention. Colds seem to be the most common kiddie ailment of all and when children come down with a cold, one good medicinal option is Little Remedies Colds Honey Elixir.

Little Remedies Colds Honey Elixir is all about kids and their symptoms and children seem to like it from the start. We all know how difficult it can be to get kids to take medicines due to the often nasty flavor, but this product is one they won’t mind taking thanks to its sweet, honey taste. The honey isn’t an artificial additive- it is actual, natural honey so there is no need to be concerned that your child is consuming a chemical flavoring or artificial sweetener.

Little Remedies Colds Honey Elixir is made to fight sore throats and coughs and it works quite well in both areas. Kids often complain quite vocally when they have a sore throat, but this product takes care of the problem and helps the throat heal. It doesn’t have the numbing ability of some of the best sore throat sprays, but does help and it is safe for kids over the age of one year- something that cannot be said of most sore throat sprays.

If there is any downside to Little Remedies Colds Honey Elixir, it would have to be the fact that each dose is good for only a few hours. For this reason, a single bottle will not last very long. It is also limited in its ability to take care of multiple symptoms, like some medicines are known to do. But all things considered, Little Remedies Colds Honey Elixir is still a very good medicine for the little ones and it does make a difference in sore throats and in coughs.

Congestion Relief
Not made for congestion relief

Relief of Aches & Pains
It doesn't contain pain relief medication like aspirin or ibuprophen, but it does help ease the pain of a sore throat.

Cough Suppression
This product helps soothe the throat and with a soothed thrat comes less coughing.

Throat-Soothing Honey Elixir, Good For the Soul - er, Throat!

By

from Grand Prairie, TX

Comments about Little Remedies Little Colds Honey Elixir:

I am always on the search for healthy, more natural medicines to give my tiny preschoolers. When I found this I was so excited, and even more so after my toddlers used it! One of my favorite things about Little Remedies Honey Elixir is that there are only four ingredients:

*Honey, Purified Water, Glycerin, Sodium Benzoate (preservative)*

That's it for ingredients! The taste is great (if you like honey). There is no gluten, saccharine, alcohol or dyes. Most important for parents: ONLY for children ONE YEAR and older, because of risk of botulism.

This worked great through this winter, which was full of sickness, sore throats, ear infections and coughs. I used up a whole bottle of this in just a few weeks. It seemed to really soothe a scratchy, sore throat for my oldest daughter. The biggest downside is that it only lasts two to four hours. That's not too much fun when you're trying to sleep through the night...but well worth it knowing my kids are healthy and comforted.

Cold & Cough Medicine for Baby

By

from Eagle River, AK

Comments about Little Remedies Little Colds Honey Elixir:

Have you tried to find cold medication for your baby? If your child is under the age of 2 you probably have a hard time finding many over the counter medications to help a baby with a cold.

After reading the package of just about every childrens cold medication on the grocery store shelf, we finally found two products that were safe, one being the Little Remedies Little Colds. We have used this brand numerous times, buying Little Tummy's, Little Fevers, and Little Colds.

The ingredients are few, it is a honey based product with added glycerin. The package does warn not to give to babies under the age of one, and that is due to the risk of botchulism with honey. It contains no alcohol, dyes or saccharin. The product looks and tastes like honey, it is very thick and you pour it into a tiny measuring cup. Our baby always has a hard time getting the entire dose out of the cup because it sticks to the sides and doesn't "pour" easily.

This homeopathic medicine really did work for our baby. Her cough was quieted almost immediately and it helped her get a more restful nights sleep. In the future, however, I think I'll just give her some organic honey, it is much cheaper.

Congestion Relief
It is for coughs.

Chest Congestion Relief
It is for coughs.

Relief of Aches & Pains
It is for coughs.

Cough Suppression
This homeopathic medicine really did work for our baby. Her cough was quieted almost immediately and it helped her get a more restful nights sleep

A Little Honey for my Honey's Little Cold

By

from Lansing, MI

Comments about Little Remedies Little Colds Honey Elixir:

I absolutely hate it when my little ones get sick. I dislike further giving them medicines unless it is truly necessary. This fall the baby (18 mon) came down with a nasty cough so we figured we would get something to help provide a little relief. From this particular husband shopping trip came the Little Colds Honey Elixir from the Little Remedies line.

Little Remedies makes children’s medications that are more natural/homeopathic in nature. They contain no artificial colors or flavors and no alcohol either. The honey elixir is for cough and sore throat specifically. Essentially all this “medicine” is, is a drinkable form of honey - packaging states there is no “medication”. Ingredients: Honey, purified water, glycerin and sodium benzoate (preservative). Due to this the package recommends administering to children over 12 months to reduce the risk of botulism. Little Colds Honey Elixir is recommended to be administered every 2-4 hours as needed. That 2-4 hours is typically as long as the soothing relief will last anyway.

Though my daughter enjoyed taking the Honey Elixir (who wouldn’t as it’s just honey), it only took the edge off her cough for a little while. She had enough phlegm going on that the cough wasn’t soothed, but the soreness the cough caused was relieved. I was hoping for a little more cough suppressant from this but it is a good way to soothe baby’s throat without using a cough drop, or full strength honey even.
