does sense the cats inside

litter falls off the sides when raking, use twice the litter, is not good at self cleaning, causes double the work as regular boxes, replacement parts are expensive, expensive, rake doesn't get all clumps, clumps stick to rake, still have to scoop out clumps, waste receptacle falls off, leaving mess

Littermaid Elite Automatic Cleaning Litter Box —

About six months ago I purchased a LitterMaid Self Cleaning Litter Box. I have two cats and got tired of scooping the box everyday. I thought this would be a perfect solution for both myself as well as the cats. Afetr I bought it, I found it very difficult to put together correctly. I do not remember how long it took, but it felt like ages before I got it right. After I finallt got it together I filled it to the line with the LitterMaid brand cat litter. I took down the old litter box. My cats were a bit confused at first, but quickly figured out that this was their new restroom. I left themalone to do their business and did not come back until the next day. I found that the tray was already full and that there were still clumps in the litter box that the rake had missed. I cleaned it out and added a bit of litter. Later that evening I returned to yet another messy box and two unhappy cats. I now clean the litter box twice a day, how convenient for me.
