worked very well

I used this to fix the hem on my daughters princess dress so it wouldn't fray any further. This worked perfectly and has held up. It was a little messy to use but I was pleased with the end result.

Liquid Stitch Works For Small Repairs But That's About It

3

Over the years I have used a lot of no-sew products to repair clothing, fix hems, apply patches and for crafting. When I saw Liquid Stitch I knew that I had to try it to see if it worked better than the other products I have tried in the past. I tried this on the side of one of my hiking boots that had a small tear in it; I have no idea how I managed to tear the side but it probably rubbed against something sharp. It did work to seal the tear and to keep it from spreading when I would wear them but it looked horrible. Even so, I was happy that I was able to get a couple more weeks of wear from them until I could order another pair online. The next thing that I tried it on was one of the cushions from the lawn furniture; there was a three inch cut in the side of one of the cushions and it needed to be repaired or replaced so I gave this a try. It patched the cut but as soon as someone sat down on it to test it out the next day the area around the cut split open. I eventually ended up having to replace the cushion because if water from rain would get inside it, no doubt it would start to smell. I would recommend this for small repairs but doubt that it would be effective for heavy duty repairs. This is supposed to be safe for a wide variety of fabrics including leather and vinyl but it really depends on the size of the cut, rip or tear. The larger the gash or hole the harder it is going to be to keep it from reopening.
