Imagine my surprise when I was told several years ago that I had high cholesterol. Given how I ate and eat (most of the time) and my exercise regiment I thought it impossible.

Please find out your family history! I didn’t know it at the time but both my mom and aunt have high cholesterol. It runs in my family. I was put on Lipitor and have been on it since.

A Closer View

The first number I was given was around 275! It went down in a year but my good cholesterol was still going in the wrong direction and my bad cholesterol was also going in the wrong direction. Finally after perhaps two years my cholesterol – good and bad- is fine and around 175.  My doctor is very pleased and so am I.

I take 5 milligrams a day and expect that I will never be off of it.
