Needed internet on my home pc's as well as my laptops. This unit was inexpensive, easy to install and works fabulous! Strong connection throughout my entire train apartment and it always has a signial. Great unit! Would recommend it to friends & family.

If you are planning on starting a home office, and you have a family who needs to share a single internet connection, the Linksys Wireless Router is a true marvel. As a computer professional, I have tried several routers, and systems to share internet connections across varied spaces. Many people now have gaming consoles that connect to the internet, laptops, smart phones, and other peripherals that all need internet access. Living in a house that has a second story meant drilling through walls, crawling in attic spaces and being precariously balanced on ladders to run wire through my home; or pay for extra cable modems in my home for each room that needed a connection. Neither one of these options were acceptable. So, when I started my home office, I purchased a Linksys Wireless Router to share the connections through the house. WEP encryption and being able to control the access levels with unique keys and a fully functional web interface on the device came standard with the router; enabling me to block unwanted eyes from accessing my home network, and to avoid punching holes in my walls. Now, I have one cable modem and no less than three devices using the same internet connection simultaneously. The Linksys Wireless Router is a true marvel.

Me, and my family have always used a Linksys wireless router. Our internet provider gave us a different type of router to start with.. and we instantly packed it up and went and got ourselves a Linksys. Linksys is the only type that has ever given us an awesome connection. We have 2 desktops, along a laptop, and 2 Blackberry's that connect to our wireless router. All of the devices that are connected get the internet nice and quick. Sometimes whenever we have bad weather, we have to reset our Linksys router.. after it reboots our internet is back to working just like before. I don't think that has anything to do with the actual router, I think it's just the weather causing issues. The cost of the Linksys wireless router was totally worth it. We've had the same one now for 4 years, and it still works great. Not sure what the life expectancy is of one.. but 4 years and counting is great! We'll always own a Linksys!

i have a lab top and found it difficult to stay in one place, so i decided to get a wireless router. there are many choices out there but this is by far the only one i would use. its not that expensive and it works great. i can walk out my door to the mail box and still have an excellent connection. i have referred this to everyone whose looking for one. it comes in n g and b so depending on where all you go theres one perfect for everyone.. its very adaptable to most if not all plugs. it doesnt have alot of cords to hide and its small enough to fit just about anywhere. it has many different lights to let you know whats working and what its doing. im very impressed with it and i thing it is just amazing that something so small has so much to offer. if you wouldnt buy this you would be missing out on great and fast connection. plus you would be wasting money and no one likes to do that. i love being able to walk around anywhere and know that im still connected.
