Linksys Wireless-G Acess Point (WRT54G) —

I upgraded to this model from an earlier Linksys router, hoping their Tech support was right, and that a newer model would solve chronic connectivity losses. It didn't. This router is faster, but I have to disconnect it from its power source and let it re-set at least once every other day. Customer support is always polite, but I do spend a lot of time on hold. Figure at least 30 minutes per call, sometimes more than an hour.

Sounds like a power issue, get a UPS and plug it into it. They are not expensive you can get one for under $50. It will keep those slight power outages from causing problems. Power fluctuations can cause the linksys to buffer and then you have to reset it. Ron
