My old Linksys router just quit with no warning and no symptoms. So I bought another brand which was a bit cheaper. It was a well known name but I found it very difficult to set up and get to work. Once I did get it set up it would knock me offline every few minutes. So I decided to go back to the quality of the Linksys product. I returned the inferior product and bought the Linksys WRT54Gs router. I took it home, loaded the software and followed the instriuctions. Within about 10 minutes my home network was up and runnning again. The only "con" I can think of for this product is that it never goes on sale, it has been the same price at every store I checked online for the past 6 months. It comes with a handy software tool called the Linksys EasyLink Advisor that allows you to set up and check the status of all devices on your network.
