Linksys WRT54G Review

This is an excellent unit for anyone considering a wireless home network. Very easy to setup and interfaces well with the cable modem from your cable company. Just think about it. No more fighting over who's turn it is to get on the internet. At my home, I can be on the computer in the back, while the wife or kid surfs from the living room.  I haven't noticed any real slow down in bandwidth with the two of us on at the same time. Intergartion of the laptop was pretty straight forward and seemless. I truly think this was one of our best computer hardware buys yet. The price is very resonable. There is one draw back that they don't tell you about in the literature. Because these type of routers broadcast a signal, they can be intercepted by others. Our next door neighbors have a wireless router as well. When one of us logs on with the laptop we have to choose between our router or theres. So in essence anyone could park near us and use our internet connection.
