Linksys WRT160N Router —

I just upgraded our old Microsoft wireless router to the Linksys WRT160N Router.  It seems to be working perfectly.  The set up was a cinch and the range is much better.  I was also able to very easily set up the security by myself which I could not do before.

It is working with RCN cable, Windows VIsta and a Dell Vostro.

I am not a techie so I cannot really comment on the specs and how they compare to other wireless routers.  But if you are mildly capable with computers you will be able to set this up yourself.

12-15-08 - Update.  The range is so good that we no longer need two cable modems in the house.  The old wireless router I had also caused me to have to reboot the router every few days.  So far I am very happy with this router.

Alex99956 - I totally disagree. The router has worked great for me. Maybe one or two drops in many months.

Do not buy the router! Read review on bestbuy.com for sample.
It working very unstable. A lot of people return it back.

I never use any other routing or switch but Linksys. Good review.

This looks like the same one we got a while back. Great information Matt.
