Linds Bowling Shoes —

Bowling was a big game in my family. We all played. Afterall, we lived in Chicago and we needed some fun activity in the winter. Some people in my family were so serious about it, that they played competitively. And, my great-uncle even had a 300 ring. You get the point-- they were serious.

It is no surprise to you, then, that I was in a bowling league when I was a kid. I was actually quite good at one point in my life. (about 20 years ago!) Well, an average of 150 for a 10 year old isnt bad!!

For my 10th birthday, I got my own ball, bag and shoes from my '300' uncle. Pretty cool. My shoes were of course Linds. Everyone in my family had Linds. They were sporty at the time and really comfortable-- and of course, very well made. I think they have been around since 1919 or so and the pros wear them.

As an adult, I dont have the time to play very often, but whenever I do, I have a blast. It is great fun!  My husband tried to encourage my playing by buying me a ball and shoes again a few years back. And, yes, he bought me LIND BOWLING SHOES. They are blue and white and super cute bowling shoes. They are suede striped and very comfortable. They are also super well made and I will probably have these bowling shoes for the rest of my life.  I guess I probably should since they are about $150 per pair. Not cheap, but for a long term investment, probably worth it.

Overall, I would only buy Lind bowling shoes. They are stylish, fun colors and a great addition to any casual or serious bowlers get-up. Or, if you just get sketched out by wearing used shoes at a bowling alley, their starter line isn't too pricey! Linds would make a great holiday gift for a casual or serious bowler. You should check them out at www.linds.com.

With winter coming up, it's the perfect time to go bowling! That's one thing my husband and I used to do quite often, then you get busy with other things and forget about it.

Jolie, haven't bowled in ages. Your review put me in the mind to ask my husband out on a bowling date. Don't think one date will inspire me to buy my own shoes, but hey who knows how many more bowling dates will follow. Then if I'm in the market to buy my own shoes, I know just what type they will be. Thanks for an excellent review.

Not really a bowler - only casually for fun and would not even post my score - but the shoes are cute.

I just wore these for the first time a week ago. They were very comfortable and slid nicely. For the price you can't beat them, and after a few more times I will break even when compared to renting those gross Lysol shoes from the alley. They are also pretty cool looking, which is an added bonus. I am very happy with the purchase. Got them for 34.99 at Amazon.com

It's been ages since I've gone bowling...never owned bowling shoes, but this review brings back fond memories.

I don't bowl, but those shoes are sort of cute. I wonder if they make them with street-worthy soles?

Wow, who would have known they cost that much1 but it would be better than having your size in GIANT numbers on the back of the rented shoes!

I bowl twice a week in leagues, and nothing is cheap about this sport, Linds does have good shoes and yes with a price to go with it. But your reveiw is great.

Sorry but I am not a bowler, but may try on NCL ships since they have alleys. Not sure how a ball doesn't go 5 alleys down on a ship.

Great family story on bowling, the 300 ring & all. $150 bowling shoes? I don't even pay close to that for formal wear. If you ever decide to stop the sport, it may be hard to get them on a chain around your neck ;-)

Thanks for reminding me to go bowling. I almost forgot how much I like it. :>

I do so love wearing the stretched out, smelly (but heavily sprayed with scent) bowling shoes at the bowling alley - NOT. I should get a pair of bowling shoes. My feet are long but slim. I always flop at the bowling alley with the too wide bowling shoes I have to get in my size. Very nice review.

I never knew anyone that had their own bowling shoes! I found out a fun fact - when I am 7-8 months pregnant, I am actually a good bowler - don't know why but during that month I can get game after game over 250! Something I can NEVER do any other time LOL
