For those visiting Chicago (or those that live in Chicago), the Lincoln Park Zoo offers a great cultural experience for FREE! — There are a ton of positives. There are far too many positives to list. Among them-- the zoo is free. Did I mention free? It is also located right on the lake. It has an amazing collection of primates (recently redone in the last few years) as well as all the usuals- penguins, wolves, eagles, snakes, giraffes, tigers, lions, bears (oh my!) etc. The museum also has a beautiful but separate botanical building that houses a gorgeous collection of flowers… read full review »

The zoo is a great treat when visiting the city. It's free and on the bus route so it is easy to get to from almost any location in the city or north side of Chicago. — There is a farm, which is fun. The gift shop… read full review »

Ok, nature is out there, so why pay to see it. Well In Lincoln Park zoo. Its free. And its always open. You do have to pay for parking. Or you can just park on the street not to far from there. I love taking the kids there. Its pretty much the same, but at the same time its not. Theres always alot of new editions to the zoo.And theres always Zoo lights. Its around the christmas time. The zoo is decorated with tons of lights and decorations. And theres free activities for the kids. Its really fun. Not far from the lake. And theres also cafe shops or if its to much for you, bring your own… read full review »
