My lifesaver! Finally I could sleep braless!

5

I have recomended these to so many of my friends!!  I had large breast before I was pregnant and they were even larger when I had my son so I was very nervous that these wouldn't fit and they did!  I actually got to go to bed braless!  They do leak if you go too long with them on.  I will definatly use them again!  They do need to be washed very throughly so as not to get an infection, but they don't smell like some pads do.

You cannot ask for a better product!

If you have ever been in public and had your regular absorbent nursing pad not work you would be willing to pay for the guarantee Lily Padz provide. You will not leak guaranteed! I spent all day at the beach with my 3 month old daughter and not once did I have to run into the water to cover up my leaking breast. Which brings me to my next point; this is the only nursing product that can be worn in the water and with a bathing suit. Lily Padz are so discreet that the people we were visiting assuming I wasn't nursing since I was wearing a bathing suit and they couldn't tell I had any sort of nursing pads. I washed my Lily Padz several time with soap and water. They never tore, smelled, or stopped sticking and I thought they would considering the material. However, I found the gel to be very durable and east to use. I would always put some nipple cream on prior to putting on the Lily Padz. I think this is a good tip to prevent sore nipples. I really enjoyed this product

Excited in the beginning, not so sure now

When I bought these Lilypadz I was so excited that I could go bra free at night. What a relief! The first week these were great. I followed all directions of cleaning & drying. Then the past 2 nights they started leaking in the middle of the night, gross! I had to get up and change too. I have used these under my bra during the day and they worked out great. Although you have to take them off and let the dry some where when feeding during the day. May not be the most convienent when nursing on the go. You also have to rinse off after taking them off and a sink may not be easy to access. I do wash them daily with mild soap and let them air dry. I have not tried the wipes or cleaning spray that Lilypadz makes. I was hoping that these would work out better for me. I am small, A cup and they fit great, but these past few nights they just would leak. Hope that this doesn't continue. I still have faith in them cause I would like to wear for summer and in bathing suits. Overall, I'm on the fence about recommending these. Time will tell.

Lily Padz are a must for nursing mothers in the summer!

I got these nursing pads because I had my baby in the summer, which means tank tops, and light-weight clothing.  Such clothing cannot hide the unmistakeable, weird-looking bump of a disposable nursing pad (which, by the way, are easier to use than Lilypadz).  I don't care what anyone says, every single brand of disposable nursing pad made was clearly visible in summer clothing.  In the winter, with layers and sweaters, I'm sure it doesn't matter, but in the summer it does. These really do what they claim to do - they create the counter-pressure that stops leaks and they are invisible.  There is a slight learning curve to using them.  The instructions that come with them are clear, but you just have to make sure you apply them EXACTLY as the instructions say and do so carefully.  It's really pretty easy. They are easy to clean and I love that they are reusable.  I have kept them for use for our next baby.

A God-send for the nursing mother!

I was skeptical when I first heard about these Lily Padz.  Everyone I knew just used the usual nursing pads that are like mini diapers stuffed into your bra.  But those, if they get wet and stay wet, can contribute to the growth of yeast on your nipples.  You have to be so careful with them, and if you're someone who leaks milk with any regularity, you spend a small fortune buying them over and over. The Lily Padz are such a massive improvement on the old nursing pads.  When I first read the directions, I thought it was going to be a really complicated deal to keep them clean and dry, but it wasn't.  I just washed them with warm, soapy water in the evening and set them out on the counter to dry overnight.  In the morning, I would pop them on, and they kept me almost completely dry throughout the day.  I used about three packs of these over the course of nursing my son.  They were most useful at the beginning, when I was leaking more, but one pack lasted about a month until the stickiness wore off.

Great past the first few months

I bought these pads when my newborn was about six months old.  I had to hold off using them as my let down was still too strong.  Once I was probably two months post-partum, I started using them full time.  They worked great for about two months, then lost their stickiness.  They still worked most of the time even without the stickiness just by keeping pressure on the nipple and preventing milk flow.  I did have them leak a fair amount of times like this, but it was fine when not in public.  They are the best nursing pads by far for hiding nipples through a bra and are not visible through clothes.  They are great for later in nursing when milk no longer leaks, but you need them to hide the nipples through clothing.  They are easy to wash and cut down on the expense of buying nursing pads every month.  The one thing I don't like is that it's hard to be descreet with them when nursing in public.  It's hard to get them back on discreetely in public and if you drop them they're hard to see!

Comfy and effective nursing pads!

I love LilyPadz!!! I breastfed my son for 14 months, so I needed a good, reliable breast pad.  I was constantly in fear of the leak spots -- yikes!  So I always wore breast pads, where ever I went. At first, I tried the regular cotton pads. They were bulky, moved around in my bra, and showed through some of my shirts. Umm -- that didn't work for me! When I found LilyPadz, I was a bit skeptical, because they're not absorbent at all, and I thought they'd be sticky and uncomfortable.  Well, I was wrong. The LilyPadz are SO comfortable to wear -- they stay put, but aren't sticky -- they don't leave a residue or anything. The fact that they're not absorbent isn't an issue at all because they prevent you from leaking in the first place! I love that they're reusable -- I only had to buy two pairs the entire time I breastfed. You just wash them with soap and water, and they're sticky again! I also LOVED being able to sleep without a bra again! They don't show through shirts at all, and keep you from having your nipples show through, too! I'm expecting my next baby in a few months, and this will be the only pads I use this time!!

They can be handy, but not for everyday use

I got the Lilly Padz after seeing them online and wondering if they were really as good as they claimed.  They are a soft silicone dome shape, similar to other breast pads, but of course they have no absorption at all to them.  The idea of not having to use the disposable nursing pads was very appealing, but the translation was not quite as good as I expected.  They were easy to put on, but because of the tacky nature of the silicone, they got in the way when nursing in public and stuck to my clothes while trying to discretely get them back into place without flashing everyone!  I almost needed a third arm to hold the baby while I fiddled with them.  They also did break the suction and allowed leaking when I was very engorged and the breast shape became bigger than what the silicone could adapt to. (Thank goodness I was wearing a floral dress and you could not notice the huge wet front I had because they had allowed the breast to leak and when I moved just so, it dumped what had collected down my dress front!   I was always able to see the outline of the pads through my tops, it would help if the edges were bevelled, not straight cut at the aprox 1/6 th inch depth. What I did find these very useful for is when i am wearing a top or strapless dress that requires a special bra - these work great in place of a special bra and for that I will keep them even beyond breastfeeding - but I'll continue to use the disposable pads for regular times.

These were a nursing necessity!

I actually got these from a friend who tried nursing and it didn't work out for her, so luckily I didn't have to pay for them.  I would have if I had to, though!  I have a part-time job that is flexible, but sometimes it was hard to get to a place or find the time to pump during the day.  I meet clients for appointments, and I didn't want to do that with big stains across my chest!  The Lily Padz kept me from leaking, and were comfortable all day.  I never had a problem when I was wearing them, and they saved me several times. They were easy to keep clean and stayed in place.  They are so far above and beyond any of the cloth or disposable nursing pads! If I had to wear them too long between pumping or nursing, I did get a bit itchy.  The only other negative is that when I would pull out my boobs to pump or nurse and forgot I had them on, I was always confused when I looked down.  They are clear silicone and it just looks like your nipples disappeared!

Didn't Stay Put

I bought LilyPadz with my first child because it seemed like a great idea...never having to change my nursing pads.  I would go through them quickly and this seemed like an economical investment in the long run.  A couple other moms swore by them so I did not see why they would not work for me as well.  They were easy enough to put on and seemed very secure.  I wish I could say they worked and I never spent another penny on disposables- but that is not the case.  My husband and I went out to lunch while I was wearing them, as soon as my milk let down off popped the Lilypadz!  Milk all over my shirt.  What a waste of money.  I tried them a couple more times  after that and the same thing happened.  I think if you have a strong let down then these things fail miserably.  They may work if you just drip here and there, but why chance it?  This time around I am sticking to my Johnson and Johnson disposable pads because they stay put!
