LilyPadz Non-Absorbent Nursing Pads —

I hated spending so much money on nursing pads with my first. So 6 years later when I was pregnant with my second I heard of this great product LilyPads. I thought if they could save me some money in the long run the $20 they cost would be worth it. I got the pads a used them while I was pregnant and they worked great because I only had minor leaking. After my son was born, I tried to use the pads again and at my next feeding it completely leaked out and made a huge mess. I thought perhaps I had applied them wrong and tried again a couple days later for good measure, unfortuantely the same experience. I have a strong let-down and hence the LilyPads don't work. I have now regretted spending the money on the LilyPads. I haven't even tried with my current child fearful of  a repeat. I will admit that I did wear them a couple times with my second child while swimming. I wanted a little protection from leakage where normal pads wouldn't work and figured that even if I did have a "malfunction" that I could just get in the water.

Perhaps I will try again in a few months when my little one is cutting back my supply and have a back up pad on just in case.
