home gym owner, lower back problems from running

I have had the Life Fitness CT9500 HR Cross Trainer for seveal years and highly recommend it.  I originally purhcased it because I was having lower back problems and I was told that the eliptical would help, which it has.

I used most of the higher end Elipticals at the gym and found the I liked the Life Fitness versions the best. I know many other people prefer the Precor Elipticals but I find the motion of the Life Fitness more to my liking.

I have probably spent a good 100 hours on the machine and it has never missed a beat.  My only complaint is that there is one plastic piece that gets...

The Life Fitness X3 elliptical trainers are what other ellipticals strive to be. These are quality machine that are built to last and to provide the best elliptical workout possible.

When I tested the X3 and wished I immediately wished I had an extra $2,700. I just got off a Vision Fitness elliptical. Vision builds a nice machine, but the Life Fitness X3 is in a whole another category.

The elliptical motion is about as smooth as it gets, and talk about quiet. Even when I adjusted the resistance I couldn't hear any noise.

Life Fitness is about superior engineering and design. That comes into play when...

The life fitness CT9500HRR Cross trainer is great.  You only have to workout on one piece of equipment to get a complete workout.  It makes you feel like you have worked out for about an hour without all of the soreness.  I have Fibromyalgia and severe arthritis so my doctor told me to try this equipment and see how it works.  I went to the gym and tried it and it was fantastic.  I was able to walk out of the gym instead of crawling.  I would recommend this to anybody, especially someone that has problems, because it really is easy to do and it really does help.  It helps to strengthen your...

This is the best of the best. I've used several different brands of elliptical machines and Life fitness are really the cream of the crop. Some elliptical machines when you get on them feel cheap or are so difficult you can't even get started. Life fitness machines are sturdy, don't feel cheap and you can set your level so if you don't feel like going all out you still can get a good workout. The different levels and different exercise plans, fat burn, cardio, etc gives you many choices. What I also find great is if you have a heart transmitter it displays on the screen, or you can just use the...

I love using the elliptical because they are low impact. This particular one I think is the most comfortable and allows the rider to have a more natural form. It has many settings and is easy to understand and use. It provides a good workout for both the upper and lower body. With its multiple settings it is a great machine for any athlete or person just wanting to sweat a little bit. One of the down falls of this machine is that it can be noisy and after long periods of time my feet fall asleep. I would recommend this machine to anyone who is looking for a good workout without the impact of things...

I think this model, and the 9700 are awesome. I will not use any other type of elliptical machine. I find that because of my height ( i am 6' 7" ) , that its the only machine where I dont find myself straining to get a full range of motion. If the gym I attend doesnt have this model of the 9700 , its time to find a new gym.
I would like it more if when your on fat burning mode, if when you took your hands off the sensors , that the screen wouldnt go dead and tell you that it needs your hands on the bars to measure your heart beat to maintain your pace. Its a pain in the butt when you have to let...

I love my Life Fitness Crosstrainer.  It is wonderful.  I try to use it everyday.  I use 15 minute intervals at one time.  I am handicapped so I cannot do long terms at one time.  It has a very durable structure as compared to the crosstrainers I found in the regular stores.  I purchased my crosstrainer through a regular dealer that sells to gyms and other stores or business that offer that clients can come to the establishment and use the equipment on site.  That means that have to be very durable.  I love my crosstrainer.

This excercise machine is at both gyms that I attend. On occasion I utilize this oppose running extra time on the treadmil.  I find this machine works very well, its supposed to be better for you then running as you can set your resistance and you can work frontwards or backwards.  Going backwards hits muscles u normally wouldn't hit in the gluteus maximus and hamstrings that its great.  Overall i think its pretty expensive but i don't need to worry about purchashing it as my gym provides it for me. So as far as the purchase of it it's very good at what it does.

This elliptical is the best! Well, I can't actually tell you that. I really haven't used too many others. But, it has everything I need. I normally don't use the preset options of aerobic/fat burning/ etc but rather go to the manual option. I've had this machine for quite some time now and have never had a problem with using it. I love that I'm able to keep track of my heart rate with the monitor. There's nothing more I can say about this machine. It's great and worth the purchase to keep myself fit and healthy.

This is a great machine for everyone, regardless of your fitness level.  Beginners can choose a level that is best for them, and so can the intermediate and advanced exerciser.  The controls are easy to use and easy to read.  The different levels on the machine allow you to get a wide variety of workouts, so it is easy to continue to challenge yourself as you progress in your workouts.

I use this piece of equipment everyday at the gym and I really enjoy it. Its one of the best elipticals I have tried. Its a smooth ride with a great quality workout. The exercise is amazing. 20 mins a day on this and you will be good to go! If you can do more go for good. But I enjoy this machine and its a great cardio workout
