Most HelpfulI have car insurance with Liberty Mutal and I have been a customer of Liberty Mutual for years. I have also checked out other companies prices. Liberty Mutual is the best for pricing, customer service and discounts.
We have had to file a claim and the claims department was availible and they were...

Most HelpfulIn August 2000 I went out on disability that later turned into filing for Workers Comp Insurance. Liberty Mutual just happens to be my companies Workers Comp Insurance. In the beginning of my claim I didn't have a problem. However my claim lasted longer than even I anticipated. My work related injuries...
read full review »I had a lot of business with Liberty.
Business insurance, workers comp, homeowners.
Had 1 claim in 5 years - a broken pipe flooded our basement. It was covered and they were supposed to pay replacement cost.
Fought us at every turn. Eventually we had to hire an attorney (and pay his fees, of course) to collect. Even then wound up settling for less than we were entitled to or would have waited years more to collect anything.
This company will refuse to accept responsibility for your injuries until required by court. They then will stop paying without a reason and you end up WORSE than you were to start with......Their Workers Comp is HORRIBLE!!! I have had to not only hire an attorney but also wait for weeks on end to get prescriptions filled. They owe me over $20000 in back pay and that is only the tip of the iceburg. I have been diagnosed with 3 possible life changing medical conditions of which NONE are being treated at this time. I haven't slept in months because I CAN'T. I have headaches that...
read full review »I have had Liberty Mutual for both my car and home insurance for several years now. Truthfully I don't about them often because my payment comes out of my checking account automatically every month. They came to mind today because I recently had to call them for help with an issue. The woman I spoke to was so sweet, patient and helpful that I was reminded that although I have only had to "deal with" Liberty Mutual a couple of times over the last several years, I always have an incredibly pleasant experience with them.
Less than 6 months after moving into my home, the roof of the den basically all...
read full review »Liberty Mutual is a company with a complete lack of responsibility. My vehicle was struck by a client of theirs, They admitted 100% liability but have refused to pay 100% of the damages. I cannot repair my vehicle since they have refused to pay the whole cost. Contact people with their company refuse to return calls and are rude over the phone.
I have dealt with several insurance companies over the years and usually switch not because of cost but because I am unhappy with my company's treatment of me when I need them. I have never had an "at fault" accident so it is not even that I caused a loss for my insurer. I was rear ended by someone insured with Travelers. They quit paying the medical bills and claimed that all attempts to contact me failed...only they had never attempted to contact me. However, I expected this treatment from the insurance company of the person who hit me. Later I switched to Travelers because they had...
read full review »This company is great, we have NO problems with them. We were not really in the market for a new insurance company when I called them for a quote, as we were happy with our current insurer at the time, but I decided to call them any way just to see if they could give a lower rate by chance, and sure enough they did!!
In fact their rate was quite a bit lower than our insurer at the time, they were about $200 per year lower than Unitrin, and to us that is quite a lot cause we are on a budget, as it was we went to Unitrin because they were about $400 cheaper per 6 months than Progressive, so that...
read full review »I will have to admit that I am hugely disappointed with Liberty Mutuals full coverage insurance on my vehicle. Not onlt are my premuims over $200 a month, but my deductible is $1,000. I am a self-supported college student and these were the lowest rates they could give me. I recently wrecked my car and although I was able to make my claim quickly and provide them with the necessary info it has taken over a month to get a settlement price on my car. The only positive thing about this whole situation is that they did provide a rental car the day of, however I only had it until they gave me a "totaled"...
