Worst company ever - should be banned from the state

I inherited them, and they haven't upset me too much

We had been with Prudential-largely because my husband was an agent for them, and then worked in their corporate offices, but when they sold out the property and casualty lines, we got landed with Liberty Mutual. Basically, I can't complain, but then we haven't had occassion to make a claim or dispute a charge, so I can't really speak to their resolution of things. I have dealt with several insurance companies over the years and usually switch not because of cost but because I am unhappy with my company's treatment of me when I need them. I have never had an "at fault" accident so it is not even that I caused a loss for my insurer. I was rear ended by someone insured with Travelers. They quit paying the medical bills and claimed that all attempts to contact me failed...only they had never attempted to contact me. This company is great, we have NO problems with them. We were not really in the market for a new insurance company when I called them for a quote, as we were happy with our current insurer at the time, but I decided to call them any way just to see if they could give a lower rate by chance, and sure enough they did!! — In fact their rate was quite a bit lower than our insurer at the time, they were about $200 per year lower than Unitrin, and to us that is quite a lot cause we are on a budget, as it was we went to Unitrin because they were about $400 cheaper per 6 months than… read full review »

This company will STOP paying you medical bills without reason

This company will refuse to accept responsibility for your injuries until required by court. They then will stop paying without a reason and you end up WORSE than you were to start with......Their Workers Comp is HORRIBLE!!! I have had to not only hire an attorney but also wait for weeks on end to get prescriptions filled. They owe me over $20000 in back pay and that is only the tip of the iceburg. As a Workers Comp Insurance Provider they are awful

In August 2000 I went out on disability that later turned into filing for Workers Comp Insurance. Liberty Mutual just happens to be my companies Workers Comp Insurance. In the beginning of my claim I didn't have a problem. However my claim lasted longer than even I anticipated. My work related injuries included the upper part of my body. After searching and searching for some new, cheaper rates for our auto insurance and home owners insurance, Liberty Mutal came out on top! The service agent that helped me was very polite, informative and quick to get me my quotes. If he did't have the answer to any question, he was quick to find out! After signing up on the internet to have my auto insurance rates reviewed by various insurance companys, Liberty Mutual was first in delivery with an answer by a quick response to my email address. Liberty Mutual was first in quality by sending a personal letter to my home with a preliminary breakdown of where I could save money. We switched over to Liberty Mutual about 2 years ago. We got an advertisement in the mail from them, looked it over and decided to call them and get a quote. — They gave us a quote about $259, cheaper than the company we were already insured with. So we called our insurance company and asked them if they could match what Liberty Mutual was offering us. I have been a liberty mutual customer for 2 years and about to renew my policy for a third year. This past November I was in an accident and Liberty Mutual made everything easy and painless for me. They walked me through the process step by step, paid the car repair shop directly for the repairs to my car, and even allowed me to keep the rental car for an extra two days at their cost because it wasn't convenient for me to pick up my car from the shop on the day it was ready. OUR AGENT CALLS JUST TO CHEACK ON US AND MAKE SURE WE ARE HAPPY , HE IS KIND AND RESPECTFUL AND ALWAYS ASKES IF THEIR IS ANYTHING HE CAN DO FOR US OR IF WE NEED ANYTHING ELSE. Liberty Mutual NOT the best-shop around

I had Liberty Mutual car insurance for a few years, and was always less than happy. I had a car accident and waited a very long time for my claim to be settled. In the meantime, Liberty Mutual sent my Jeep to a Ford garage for repairs. Liberty Mutual required the Ford garage to fix my Jeep as"cheaply" as possible. My vehicle was back twice at the garage for further repairs. (And the 4- wheel drive still doesn't work). i switched to Progressive not to long after this, AND SAVED A BUNCH OF MONEY, and have never had a problem. Even after having an accident 5 years ago, Liberty Mutual didn't drop me as a customer. They continued to offer me insurance. I have been very happy with their coverage and what they offer. I have had Liberty Mutual for over ten years and they have been great. They have always offered me the lowest rates and new policies. I just recently changed to a new insurance company due to a new vehicle purchase where the new premium was $88.00 cheaper.
