Worst company ever - should be banned from the state

your basic auto insurance user, safe driver with a good record

Four weeks ago I had an accident with a tow truck that was insured by Liberty Mutual (commercial division). It was 100% the driver's fault and there were witnesses. He admitted to the liability and was issued a summons by the State Police. Had it not been for the air bags I would have definitely suffered life-threatening injuries. My own insurance company, High Point, has been wonderful about all the medical. However, since I had an older model car, I no longer carried collision. Liberty has refused to pay for my car rental now going into the 5th week. They haven't sent an adjuster to declare my car totaled so that I can get another. My wrecked car is due for registration renewal and I can't take the plates back until I have the statement saying it's been totaled. My insurance company needs the statement to refund premiums I had paid. My attorney has gotten nowhere with them.

Liberty Mutual is not recommended by cribby

What a nightmare! I hope things did get sorted out. I'm glad I'm with USAA. They are great. But, I guess that won't help if someone hits me with insurance from another company.
