Great, versatile mop

5

For a basic little mop that you'll use day after day, I have to recommend the Libby Nitty Gritty Roller Mop Plus. The best thing about it, hands down, is the scrubbing pad that is built into it so you can easily give tougher stains or spills a little more attention without having to change out your cleaning tool or get down on your hands and knees. The regular sponge part of it is pretty good itself, too, as it is resistant to tearing or pilling (an issue I had with one of my cheaper mops, which was constantly looking ratty and filthy even after just a few uses). It is affordable and versatile, and it can get into nearly any space on your floor (even under the cabinets, where I typically have a more difficult time scrubbing anything up unless I do it from floor level!). I used mine for a long time before it was finally time to replace it, and I will no doubt be purchasing another one of this same mop in the future.

Better than more expensive mops

5

My home is mostly carpet so I don't have a lot of area that I need a mop for, only my kitchen and my bathrooms. That being said I do like a clean floor. I always sweep before I mop, and I do like to mop with warm water and vinegar, not those harsh nasty chemicals. I load the sponge on the mop up with waem water and vinegar and I get my floor as wet as possible, letting it sit for a good 10 minutes. Then I go to work manuvering the mop and cleaning and using the scrubber, which works amazing. The scrubber is on the other side of the slonge and flipping the mop over to use it is very easy. The scrubber has long thick hard bristles which work better than any scrubber on a mop I've ever used. This mop soaks up the water that's on my floor and I just wring it out in the sink, and after a few minutes my floor is clean and dry! Changing the mop head is the easiest I've ever done with any mop I've ever had. A mop head lasts me about a year and there is no mildew or nasty smell, but when I'm done mopping I do wring it out very well and let it dry before I put it away. The mop handle is long enough, I'm 5'4", that I don't feel like I'm hurting my back while pulling and pushing and the lever to wring out the mop works with ease and is positioned I believe at the perfect level on the mop handle.
