Lexmark X6570 All-in-One Printer Review

Rather an inexpensive all in one that works pretty well but has some quirks that make it aggravating plus it seems to me to always be out of black ink!

When we first got the thing it worked beautifully for about a couple of months and then the little aggravations began - and they are the same ones over and over.  The worst one is that it constantly says that there is a paper jam when there isn't one.  You just have to pull up the stack of paper in the feed and put it back in.  I guess there is something wrong with the sensor but it happens about every 3rd or 4th sheet to print which is lovely when it's wireless and you are in another room.  Another thing that happens is that it constantly reverts back to wanting make 5 copies regardless of how many times you reset the menu to 1 copy.

I'm not able to tell you many copies/pages etc. we print with one black ink cartridge because I haven't kept track but I they cost $38 for the XL and $32 for the regular sized ones.  Since we just use this at home maybe we print more than I realize but it seems that we are replacing the things every 3-4 months but it could be 5-6.  Maybe I should take better notice before I make a conjecture about it's usage of ink.

All in all it's ok for the money and I should probably take it in to have it looked over.
