Lexmark X1240 All in One Printer Reviews

When we purchased our first Dell desktop computer, it came with Lexmark printer X1185. This printer worked great for a couple of years and then it was time to buy a new one. I thought that this printer had served us well, so I decided to buy another Lexmark. After studying what printers were available at the time, I choose the X1240. I compared the abilities to our previous printer and thought I was getting something very similar. Unfortunately, it was not the same, not even close.

First of all the new printer could not print pictures at or near a high enough quality to qualify as a photo printer....

My husband bought this printer after our Dell printer broke (after only 2 years I might add).  It works okay but does not print quality photos.  It is an incredible price $30 on sale but sometimes you get what you pay for.  I will likely have to replace it within a year.

If you are doing just basic printing, it is a great buy.  If you want to print photo quality images, this is not the printer to buy.

My son bought me this for Christmas last year! I love how you have the ability to copy and scan in addition to printing. Thi allows the opportunity to scan old photos and add them to your computer photo albums for better print quality. Gone are the days that you have to outsource your pictures to design photo gifts! It is however difficult to find ink on the shelf for this product.

I needed a simple uncomplicated printer and found this one at a very good price.  I knew Lexmark was a good name, so I trusted that this would be a great printer and it is.  It scans and copies as well.  Very user friendly - all I do is change the ink cartridges and it is very quiet too...
