Lexmark 3650
I love my Lexmark X3650 printer. It was extremely easy to set and configure to my computer; it took less than five minutes. It came with a set up cd so I did not have to do anything to install the printer but put the cd in. It does run out of ink fast and the quality of print is excellent. It did not cost a lot of money, I think between 60-70 dollars. I received it as a gift so do not know exactly how much it costs. I do know that the ink cartridges are not as expensive as other printers I have had. It seems like the cheaper the printer the higher the ink cartridge.

I have used many Lexmark products in the past and have always had an issue with quality. I received this printer as a birthday gift and have had issues all along. The cartridges are expensive and dont last very long. I have never owned a printer that ran out of ink this quickly. It also prints very slowly. I understand it's not a laserjet but a little more speed couldnt hurt. The scan quality is also very poor. The letters are very fuzzy when the scan goes thru and it takes time for that to happen also. Copying is perhaps the only thing this printer does well. This version is...

I love my Epson All in one Color printer/scanner and the Dura-brite pigment that does not run when wet, but it costs a tremendous amount for just printing black documents. I figured it out and discovered I can save a fortune by buying the Lexmark for simple document printing. I can also save money by buying the recyclable toner cartridges which if nothing else makes me feel better that it is not just going into a landfill. They even pay to ship the cartridge back so it is the best of both worlds.
Provantage.com is the cheapest site for these recyclable toner cartridges. It only took about...

The size of the machine is comparatively small, which is good.
The round buttons with numbers are too small. The numbers are black on a dark gray background and are therefore too difficult to see. I would make the same comment about the markings for which direction to insert an envelope for printing.
The speed at which it prints is only acceptable. The color of the printing is quite good. I find it impossible to make the change to print a color page in black in white permanent (with the option of returning to the default of color and black and white) but have to make the change each...
